Decided to dust off the Netflix account (hanging in suspension for the duration of the school year) and watch movies again. Again, I need to play catch-up to modern day culture.
I need movies to watch. :V Because I know at least two of you will suggest it, I have Ponyo and Up in the queue.
AND I CAN RENT G GUNDAM TOO AHAHHAAA
But really, anything to keep me entertained a bit more would be cool. Kthnx. :V
TWO shockers, actually.
First off, the really easy one. OtakuBoards (XL? The hell?) is back up and running, so I decided to poke around. Zomfg, it changed, like, changed. I wish I could have my blue back, because I like blue (look around you), but the streamlined design is pretty nice. Little awkward with some things, but I can deal.
Also, I actually posted. And not in the Art Studio! AHHHHHH okay, let's see if I can keep it up. :P
In other news...
So this weekend was Memorial Day, joy and tinsel all around. Now I'm thrown off as to what day it is (Monday, right?), but regardless, the holiday ended up being a fun time. What was not fun was being forced out of bed earlier than I wanted to because my parents were angry at me and my brother for sleeping. I'm sorry, but it's summer, and we don't do anything, so what's the harm?
Hung out on the porch on this new swing/futon/thing until my brother and sister-in-law showed up. We ended up watching some TV before my mom decided we should watch a DVD she had received from a cousin of old home movies. Movies from the 50s/60s are something of a marvel, because their color is strange but really cool. But there is no sound, meaning me and my family launched very quickly into MSTing the thing.
Ohhhh my God...I love my family...
I mean, my oldeset brother and I are totally siblings. We're very similar in thought process and behaviors, so getting the two of us together plus the added hilarity of my sis-in-law is beyond fun. Also when my brother eats over at our house, I have a comrade in the "I won't eat that green thing" camp. :B
Last night was also game 2 of the Stanley Cup. Blackhawks won, by the way, meaning they lead the series 2-0. Because the next games are on Versus, my parents are upgrading our satellite package so we can get the channel and watch. XD This is also awesome because that means channels of TV I'll actually watch. Thanks for kicking ass, Blackhawks! :D
Another two-month hiatus! Yes!
