Hello there, this is Katana, also known as Kat in some circles. I'm your friendly neighborhood twenty-two-year-old illustrator/writer whose sarcasm is second to none and harboring the ability to verbalize the parentheses in stories. I drink coffee and draw like an addict and am liable to get you into things that I like. Currently the wielder of a BFA in Illustration and a minor in English.
Questions? Comments? Death threats? Feel free to PM or message me in some iteration. I'm always around, you just don't know it.
"Some of the great artists of our time started off by doodling in class. ...Maybe. Oh heck I dunno."

Which is a bit of an overstatement, as I did manage to get sleep last night.
Here's why:
So I'm a peer adviser in the art building. I am like the undergrad adviser, except I can't change your major. This week, we decided to go into the foundations classes (Art 100, 101, 102, and 103) and plan the schedules with the students. Okay.
This started 8am Monday, after I had gotten about four hours of sleep. I ran straight through until noon, wherein I got lunch, then came back from 1 to 3:30, where I ran off to get dinner, coming back from 4 to 6, wherein I had 3D class.
This is where it starts to suck.
I had one of the other guys, Troy, helping me out from 8 to 10. At 10, I was by myself. At 1 I had the other guy, Don. Now, Don and I are both fresh new freshmen, and are in somewhat savage competition with one another. It's just how we are. After a late start, he leaves at 3, and then when I was returning to the art building at 4, when he was supposed to help me, I passed by him going to dinner.
I was so pissed off.
Come 3D class, which we have together, I am physically and mentally exhausted, grumpy, and hungry. Don is there. I ask why he didn't help me from 4 to 6. He says "I was hungry".
Which is followed by me calling him a whore every time I speak of or to him for the next 48 hours.
Get back to the room around 9, take a shower, then write a paper for art history comparing the Arch of Constantine to the Arch of Titus. Oh, and this is a big paper and it's worth 20% of our final grade. Fun times. Finish that around 1 and go to sleep.
Wake up at 7am Tuesday, feeling better, go to the art building for moar advising. Do that until 11, wherein I go to art history, turn in the paper, doodle for the first 30 minutes, then do something I haven't done, which is slept for the latter 45. I was just so tired and it had caught up to me a bit late.
After class, go to the office, can't find Troy, who was supposed to help me with the next group, and can't find any of the files. Go get lunch, hang out with Terumi, go to Coms. Go eat dinner. Go to drawing. Was supposed to advise, decided to have my instructor tell me that I couldn't because I had to work on a project. >> I was really effing tired. Hung out a little while afterward to do some more on the project, get Starbucks from Jamie, who had dropped the first batch on her way in (the south entrance of the art building thus ended up smelling like Pocky due to Terumi's drink).
Get back to the room around 11, shower, etc. Relax and write. Went to sleep at 12:17am, which is pretty incredible.
So I'm conscious at 8am when I go in, but guess what! I didn't have to be there! 8D *dies* Come back, sleep for another hour, go back at 10. Get lunch at noon, come back at 1, then I'm told that I need to take a break and not do any more advising because "you are overscheduled and will either collapse or go on a murderous rampage". Wooh!
I did, in fact, overschedule myself, but that's mostly because I had the space to do it (especially since I have two night classes and dropped Intro to Vis Comm, freeing up my MW afternoons) and because I...have immense guilt. >_>
I feel way better today than yesterday, but it's physically catching up to me. I'm a bit sore and achey, but I am going to get a great paycheck and have been racking up the steps on my Pokewalker. *mauled*
For those of you who don't know, I am a spaz. For those of you who already knew that, I bet you didn't know that there's this hill right across from my dorm that is very much like the one seen in the second trailer for the new Doctor Who season. Wednesday night, after coming back from dinner, I got the urge to run to the hill and do my traditional spaz summary.
Thank you, Terumi, for always having a camera on hand. :P
