Hello there, this is Katana, also known as Kat in some circles. I'm your friendly neighborhood twenty-two-year-old illustrator/writer whose sarcasm is second to none and harboring the ability to verbalize the parentheses in stories. I drink coffee and draw like an addict and am liable to get you into things that I like. Currently the wielder of a BFA in Illustration and a minor in English.
Questions? Comments? Death threats? Feel free to PM or message me in some iteration. I'm always around, you just don't know it.

Three of my online friends went to San Diego ComicCon. To one of them I mailed Plushie Forrester and my favorite book, Mind Over Matters by one mister Mike Nelson.
(Because my friend is a slight idiot and said "She couldn't be here.")
I'd like to reiterate that I have the greatest friends ever.
I finally got some more info on my roommate, including a legit home address and a phone number. She lives in Chicago. :O
Anyways, after much freaking out (which 'gome had to bear witness to), I called her. Long story short, the number isn't a home phone, but a cell phone. I got her mom, who said she'd call back "in thirty minutes". Interesting.
And thirty minutes, I got a phone call. We chatted for about five minutes, upon which I learned she was vacationing in Minnesota and I felt bad. >_<; Anyways, she's a sophomore, and I think she's studying pharmacy. She seemed very quiet, which doesn't worry me too much. A lot of my friends are introverts whilst I'm an extrovert, so yeah. I'm only concerned about bothering her. The reason I picked the "quiet lifestyle" floor is because I need quiet places to retreat to. After all, one can always go seeking excitement, right?
Two weeks until the move-in day. Oi.
I'm still going on my art kick, which my poor watchers on DeviantArt had to suffer through. This includes random doodles and a foray into t-shirt vectors. I'm trying to get more adept at them, so I downloaded an open source program called Inkscape and shall be messing with that tonight.
Also, I negated to mention this - when Waffles came over Sunday night to watch Soultaker, she gave me these:
Me, Shin, and Nehs hung out quite late in the Movie Sign Chat room last night - so much so that people would pop in and ask what we were doing in there so late. Then Des came in and Shin died quickly thereafter, but the former still hung around for a while.
At every :30 mark, we'd proclaim what number hour we were on, and then it snowballed into this...
Nehszriah: TEN HOURS 8O Katana: WHAT THE HELL ARE WE DOING XD Nehszriah: I DON'T KNOW Nehszriah: 8D Desbreko: Bet you can't make it to twelve. Katana: That's easy Nehszriah: Pfft.
We ended up being left by ourselves after that, reading TV Tropes and linking each other to random pages and videos. Finally...
Katana: Guess what Nehs Nehszriah: Twelve? Katana: >8D< Nehszriah: Right on!
Thank you to everyone for the gifts and well-wishes. Special thanks to Nehs, Arch, ichi, bellpickle, Kimmeh, Waffles, TC, Shadow, Kei, Ace, and Wayward for sending me the little gifts here on theO. :D TC also made me my second MST3K card, and Kittens made me an...an Alton Brown card. 8DDD
I negated to mention that tonight's Movie Sign is Soultaker, and Shin is really really excited about it. Edit: I say Shin because he's been screaming "SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOULTAKER" the whole frickin' week.
