Alright, we're out of here

So the popular consensus is that 2009 is the last year of this decade, so let's go with that. With regards to ten years, the perspective is that I was eight years old in 1999, probably just sitting around and playing video games and waiting for New Years to come. Sparkling grape juice was going to be my prize, along with being allowed to stay up late and celebrate.

As I got older, into middle school, me and my friends decided to have parties. I recall one year with Lorenza, Waffuru, and our friend Liz, which was spent in the basement with Pepsi Holiday Spice soda, video games, whatever was on TV, and just random stuff. Come high school, it became habit to just go to Waffuru's house and celebrate the new year, which included soda, pizza rolls, video games, TV, anime, and general wacky hijinks.

Last year I worked, and it was a blast, if a bit tiring, but still cracktastic, before again rushing to the waffled ones place to celebrate. This year? Not quite sure. (Waffles, if something is going on, text me, don't call me. XD) If nothing else? Hanging with my peeps at the restaurant.

Doctor Who marathon for the weekend! 8D

Ahem.

But enough about that. How can I review a decade? I can't, so I won't. But I do know that as I look over the past few years, I have to sit back and realize I have a wonderful chronicle of six years of my life here with myOtaku and Oh My, Plotholes. It's crazy to think I can look back on my life so easily, and I realize this with every turn of the year.

Now, the bullet points of the year.

- Graduated high school.
- Started college and survived a semester.
- Met and made awesome friends at college. Thank you, art peeps.
- Got a 4 on my AP Art portfolio.
- Wrangled another job, this one in the art building.
- Started a relationship that has reciprocated feelings. Craaazy...
- Amazing band trip to New Orleans. New sights, new sounds, new smells, new memories. For the first time, I cried tears of happiness as my oboe buddy won 1 of only 3 solo awards. I was genuinely proud.
- Became friends with so many people here on the site. Nehs, Trip, Kei, Japan, redj, Ace, Wayward, Missay, Ducky, and ffff my brain has gone.
- Epic ACen.
- Epic roadtrip and Youmacon.
- Celebrated one year of Movie Sign. Still going strong.
- Found a new depth of enjoyment and intrigue with art.
- I grew up.

And so, farewell 2009 and the first decade of this millennium. Catch ya in 2010, can't wait to see you when I look back again in 2019.
