THIRTEEN HOURS

Or, "In which I learn I can sleep on desks".

I spent last night/this morning in the art building with my compadres Terumi and Jiaqi as we worked on projects for 3D, drawing, art history, and Coms (me being the last one). I had arrived at the building at 5pm in order to go to a lecture that I needed for an assignment for said Coms homework, then 6pm marked the start of 3D class.

Class ends at 8:40. At 9:30, we ordered Chinese food, which came at 10. I then let slip that I had Princess and the Frog in my DVD tray of the lappy, so we watched that until roughly past midnight or so. (I got to scream "IT'S DISNEY LOGIC" a lot. It was very frustrating...) During this time, I move on to working on my drawing (the subject of last's post), which isn't due until Tuesday but I want to use in my portfolio. ...Which is due tomorrow.

During the movie, we're joined by this guy, Arturo, who was in Intro to Vis Comm with me (I say was because I dropped it). He stayed with us until 4am or so.

After the movie becomes a bit of a blur, since I basically jumped between the 3D project (which is clay, meaning it has to dry) and drawing, before finally dragging myself to the lappy to read articles for art history. After a lot of goofing off and delirious joking, I did my Coms home (at 3am or so) while blasting music in my ears to keep me focused. Don't ask how that works, it just does.

At around 4am, I decided to try and nap. My original plan was to go to the fourth floor, since there's a couch outside the office there, but the idea of being there by myself wasn't very appealing. So I grabbed the canvas I had been using with my clay, folded it up, used it as a (very poor) pillow, and kinda-sorta napped/dozed on two desks until 5:30. This is another don't ask how it works. It just does.

At 5:30, we packed up because the janitors were there and cleaning and we didn't want to get in the way. Got back to my dorm and flopped into bed around 6am, but since I had napped, it took me a good half hour to get to sleep (usually takes me maybe ten minutes, at most, nowadays). Woke up at 10:25 for art history at 11 and have been chugging along since.

I think I have another long night ahead of me. XD
