After a few weeks of boterhing the guidance office and various teachers, we finally got our ACT scores mailed to us.
Teh Katana gets the envelope and slowly tears it apart before getting annoyed and ripped said envelope to shreds. Then she fumbles around with the useless paper and pamphlet before revealing a test score of a -
29.
...
Then she starts to scream and run around the kitchen while her dad decides to interrogate the scores further.
[Then he said, "well, that's pretty good", of which I wanted to drop-kick him via head.]
So there. I got a 29, and the four college I jotted down interest in would all accept me, and the world is good. Considering that I thought I would have to re-take the test, I'm very very pleasantly surprised. I'm not a genius by any accounts, and unfortunately, the ACT doesn't take "style" into consideration. Sigh.
Fun fact: I got a 6 out of 12 on my essay. I'm thinking it was because I was uber sarcastic. And that I criticized the age group of people who were grading it.
So I apparently scored at/better than 94% of the state, and 95% of the country. That means Illinois has slightly smarter kids than the rest of the country...?
As I thought, English and Reading were my best scores [31] and Math was my worst [25], while Science was surprisingly high [28]. All in all, I'm just...really happy.
Can't wait to go to school Monday and have my genius friend kill my mood. >_>;
