Wellll...I won't be going to Georgia after all.
Because you see, the week I thought we were going is not the same week that I thought was the last week of my Geology class. I can't go missing the week before the third exam/final, so instead I'm staying home.
My parents (Mom in particular) are very okay with this. Meaning all the hassle it took for this trip to come together, and all the silent guilt-tripping I got, are null.
AHHHHH. PARTY AT KAT'S HOUSE!
In a similar vein, Ducky has requested that I keep updates for when I start building the frames I need for the pieces accepted into that art show. Okay then, I shall. Probably have a photo montage post, like several projects past...
Today was a freshmen orientation at the university. Orientations have been going on since the beginning of June, and registration for classes has been going since, geez, March/April. The problem with signing up this late in the game is that classes are filled, time slots are conflicting, and it's just very frustrating for people to get what they want. Freshmen are a little easier to bend because, well, they're freshies and have no credits. Also, they seem to be a bit more chipper on the whole situation.
Buuuut today was a bit off. It looked to be a promising day - six students (the average being ten or more). Freshmen. Bang, this was going to be simple.
Well, we had log-in troubles with half of them.
And then more log-in troubles once they were logged into the computers but not the website.
Oh, and the fire alarm went off.
Twice.
But we sloughed through it and went through things at super-speed and got them all into classes. I have been running since 8am, however, because I needed to get a blood test (as mentioned in the fears list the previous page). In the very least, I got breakfast out of the deal, though I demand being granted the ability to sleep in tomorrow.
Work tomorrow and Saturday, bussing tables FREAKING FINALLY AHHHH. *weeps*
