This is the "stuff I get asked so I'm going to post it" section.
Q: “Why do you freak out when people call it 'Dr. Who'?”
A: If you’re a fan of the Classic and do this, I know why. But most people abbreviate the show to “Dr. Who” without a second thought. The thing is, the word “doctor” is used as a name, not a title. There isn’t a doctor named Who; it’s more the reactions people get form hearing the name: “The Doctor? Doctor who?”
Q: “Who’s your favorite Doctor?”
A: I don’t really have a favorite, honestly. I have a special fondness for all of them, as each Doctor brings a twist to the table and makes the experience enjoyable. Always remember that hindsight is 20/20 and that’ll keep you from ever calling one of them “the best”.
Q: “Why do you hate Rose so much?”
A: There aren’t enough hours in the day. My very condensed version: She is whiney, bratty, self-centered, melodramatic, and rather dumb. I’d be okay with this, except for the fact that she and the Doctor fall in love (it seriously hurt to type that) and her departure after Series 2 marks a turn to the wangst for him. Rose is also a weaker character in comparison to 10’s other companions, which makes the 10/Rose ship completely baffling to me. Also, the finale of Series 4 pisses me right off, but that’s another day.
Q: “How did you get into the show?”
A: TimeChaser was constantly trying to get me to watch it. He finally wore down my indifference, and I caught an episode while channel surfing one night. For the record, my first was Series 4’s “Midnight” and I’ve been a fan since July of ’08.
