Hooray for townhizzle!

And now, we get into the ever-elusive "I have started school, so let's provide a summary" post. This post is a bit more special this time because it also includes photos of where I'm living and it's not a dorm!

I moved in last Saturday during tsunami-like rain. Dark, heavy clouds and torrential rain, the kind of rain that made me concentrate so hard on the road that I couldn't bother listening to Arthur Darvill's hipster band sing (and I love singing along). Thankfully by the time I hit DeKalb, it had lightened up, though parts of the road were flooded.

Moving in went pretty quick, and I got a free lunch out of it. My room was almost set-up by the time Terumi arrived, and thus began the monumental task of moving in all her stuff. Seriously, I'm not sure why she brings so much, but moving her in is good blackmail for when I need to move out.

Then Jiaqi came, and she was a lot easier to get in because she, like me, didn't bring her house. But after that, I was tired, because I had moved in three people, so I think my lazing about was quite justified.

We went to Noodles & Company for dinner before hitting up Wal-Mart to pick up food and stuff. I also managed to sneak over to the dorms to hock internet and watch Durarara. Oh, and hang out with the freshmen sophomores and stuff.

Sunday was spent waiting for Deborah to come, and after we got her in, we went to Wal-Mart again to pick up more stuff. And then we swore off Wal-Mart for a week because going to that place more than once is grating on the soul.

My classes seem pretty alright, except for the fact that I had to drop $400 on a camera for the introductory photography class I have to take. >:T And it didn't even come today because Amazon hates me and futzed up my address and I had to fix it but too late so it won't be here until Monday and AGH

Uh, but the other classes seem okay. Graphic design is slow for right now, but I have to paint vegetables for Illustration and I am so not looking forward to it (which is probably why I haven't started yet). Oh, and draw a landscape for Intermediate Drawing. Blaaagh.

Ohhh, and grammar. There are two good things about grammar: One, I have it with Waffuru, which is awesome, and two, the assistant-professor is kind of a spaz and it's awesome when she teaches.

The next page has pictures on it, so be warned.
