Explaining the world of OtakuFic

A reference guide/refresher to help better explain the world that houses OtakuFic. This is an ever-expanding guide and, if you have any questions, post a comment here. Who knows, it might be added to the guide!

-----

The world in general - OtakuFic takes place in an interpretation of what the world would be like if it the internet was reality. It is an answer to the wonderings of what it would be like to live with your fellow Otakuites. "Worlds" are the homes and gathering spots of the people, while one earns money by doing what they do (or mooching off of others).

The Writers Bloc – A café that also operates as the base of operation for an indie newspaper of the same title. It is four stories in height (plus a basement); first floor is the café, second and third, newspaper, fourth, storage. Owned and operated by SomeGuy, co-owned by Becky (NightBeck). A slew of part-time workers also appear (the Tuesday writers).

Otaku City – The overarching location of, well, OtakuFic. It is what theOtaku.com would be if it materialized into a city. Contains various businesses and residential complexes. Led by Adam, it is a relatively peaceful place.
[-] The Suburbs – Term used by residents to describe what other websites would be.
[-] The Forum – The news page, molded in the spirit of the Greek forum with open conversing (comments) and discussions.
[-] The Districts – What each sub-site of theOtaku is (fanart, writing). While pockets exist out of their districts, it is much more common to find what you’re looking for in the actual district.
