E is for eggs~!

I decided to switch up which movie I fell asleep to, so I went with "The Giant Spider Invasion". It worked, I fell asleep to it...but then I woke up at about 3am because the music they have playing at the main menu was really annoying...

So Joel and Mike both work on me. Hm.

Wait, today is...ah! The thirteenth! Happy 18th birthday to my best friend Lorenza. The joke with our group: 'Now you can buy porn, cigarettes, lottery tickets, and stuff off of infomercials!' Though I'm more amused by the fact that last year, she said "only one year 'til I move in with you!". Well, that happened a lot sooner than we thought, heh...

The new band uniforms are coming in today, so I'm going off to the school to help get all those organized. Yeap, only band geeks would be excited about new uniforms. But considering we're finally getting them after 23 years, we're all excited. Ooh! I should bring my camera and prove my place as historian...

On the note of school...oh man. So I'm this thing known as a student ambassador. Yesterday was when we were supposed to give tours to the incoming freshman and such. Well, I wasn't given the e-mail, so I got a message from my counselor, Mr. Young, asking about this. And I responded. And he responded. And I responded. And it was a fantastic chain

Young: I see. Well then I sincerely apologize as I know you are a reliable student who surely would’ve been here had you been notified within an appropriate amount of time to juggle your clearly hectic schedule! =)
Kat: CLEARLY hectic...yeah, that's for sure. *hides MST3K DVDs*
Young: What on earth is MST3K?
Kat: Why, it's Mystery Science Theater 3000. Guy and two robots are marooned in space and forced to watch B-grade sci-fi movies by an evil scientist who hopes to discover a film so bad that it breaks the guy's sanity before proceeding to unleash it upon mankind and take over the world. It didn't work despite 198 episodes. Note: My friends, it's all about freaking them out.
Young: OK, Ginger you have WAY too much time on your hands!! You need to get back to school ASAP!!!
Kat: I haven't watched all 198. ...Yet. Or soon. I'm semi-surprised that you have no clue what I'm talking about. But then again, it seems to be hit-or-miss with people. Ah well.

So I go to band camp and it's...um, band camp. At the end of practice, our director talked to me and the other bass drummer about the two that were missing and how we have to work to get them caught up and such. Extra early rehearsal? Looks like it. But then...

Struyk: I know you're busy and all, Ging, with watching Mystery Science Theater...
Kat: WHO TOLD - MR. YOUNG TOLD YOU! *proceeds to giggle the rest of the conversation*

And then the e-mail this morning:

Young: Rest assured, Mr. Struyk knew exactly what you were talking about. Band Geeks!!

I'm slightly concerned about all of this. >_>; Though mostly amused. Anyways, icons:

1 - From episode 302 "Gamera". Joel had the best faces going on during the song, which unfortunately you can't see due to compression.
2 - The screencap is from episode 810 "The Giant Spider Invasion". Mike's the odd destroyer of worlds, with three to his record.
3 - Again from 302. This one bothered me the most due to the text, and I'm going to be eternally annoyed by it. But I couldn't help loving Crow's line.
4 - From episode 814 "Riding With Death". Mike proves how he's the destroyer of worlds by blowing up his third planet via a baking soda and vinegar bomb.
