“Well I need to call you something in stead of girl or blue eyes, don’t I” he said smirking
“My name is Sleane” She said moving away from the wall and into the room more. Brian walked over to her and smiled
“You must be hungry, would you like something to eat?” He asked. Sleane nodded her head and that was it. She didn’t trust her voice she was still getting use to the fact that her youngest brother is still alive. Brain left the hut and came back with some fruits and berries. She eats them not saying a word. Once she’s done Brian show’s her around the village. Sleane smiled at all the animals that were there. They had from horses to dogs to wolf’s to lions and tigers.
“How did you get the lions and tigers to obey? I mean there wild animals” She asked, Brian smiled than laughed
“We trained them when there were cubs they love all people” he said after laughing. He shown her a black stallion with a little bit of white on his nose. He was beautiful, he ran around like he was trapped standing on his back legs to kick anyone who tried to get near him. A few village men were trying to rope him they had sticks hitting the poor thing. Sleane took as much as she could when he kicked one the men in the back. Sleane ran over to help the man up and out of the way. When the stallion looked at her he stopped and stood there. She got the man out of the way and stared at the stallion. Brian walked in front of her in case the stallion tried to kick her. Sleane moved under Brian’s arms and walked towards the horse, Brian tried to stop her but the look she gave him told him to back off and leave her alone. She walked to the horse slowly all the villagers watched her. Some of them started whispering things like ‘she wont get near that horse, no one can’ or ‘what does she think she is doing’
The horse watched her approached but didn’t move when she got there she reached her hand out and patted him she slowly moved. The horse moved towards her and stopped. She moved closer and stared patting him on his neck. Brian moved closer to her and such her shoulder.
“How did you do that?” He asked. Staring into her eyes. She blinked and smiled moving to pat his back and down his legs.
“You have to be patient when it comes to wild horses” she said smiling
“What do you mean he was born in the village, since his mother die he hasn’t let anyone near him” he said not really continent.
“I’ve always had a thing when it comes to animals, I can make the clam and love people, but let me handle him for a few weeks that is if I’m aloud to stay, I think I’m going to have to prove to your father I’m not a treat” she said moving to the back of the horse. He kicked out and hit her in the side she fell backwards but stayed on feet.
“Now that wasn’t nice Atra” she said smiling at him. Brian ran over to her checking her if she was ok.
“Are you ok? And what did you just call him” He asked.
“Atra its Latin for dark” she was walking over to him again. Brian stopped her by grabbing her and pulling her back.
“What do you think your doing?” he asked she pulled away from him.
“Going to him, what does it look like” she snapped.
“Do you have a death wish or something he just kicked you and your going again” he snapped back. She walked over to him again the villages were shocked by her carelessness.
She sat down and waited the villagers were watching her waiting for her the stuff up, in time the black stallion walked up to her and started to play with her hair. She must have fallen asleep because when he pulled her hair a bit she fell over. He checked on her, she blew in his face and he jumped back. She started laughing at him. She was lying on the ground laughing she couldn’t help it. It was funny to her, the villagers looked at her like she was crazy she kept laughing until a little girl came over to her and sat beside her. Sleance looked at the little girl she had raven blue hair and bright green eyes.
“Will he let me pat him?” she asked in a small voice. Sleance nodded her head and got up. The lent down and picked up the girl and walked backed over to the horse. The little girl put her hand out and he came to her, the on lookers were shocked that he let someone pat him. Sleance put the girl down and she ran back to her parents smiling and laughing. Brian walked over to her with a smile.
“You’re making yourself a home here, that little girl doesn’t go to strangers at all she hasn’t spoken since her older brother was murdered” he said in a quite voice. Sleance looked at him shocked. She looked at the villagers and they were looking at her with a smile. They were smiling at her. She smiled back and walked off.
She walked around the village and started playing with the dogs and wolves there was a little black wolf cub that was by him self and wouldn’t play with any others it was like that didn’t want him with them. She walked over to him and sat down a little in front of him, he looked at her a little worried she laid and closed her eyes. Brian came over and looked at her to his surprised she was asleep with the little wolf snuggling into her. He picked her up and took her back to the hut.
