So, here's my latest:
Ryuuko-senpai is probably like "OMG you made a Bleach wall i thought you didn't watch it" right now, and she is right. I don't watch Bleach, so for this wallpaper I had to do some research. And you know where everyone goes for reliable information.
Wikipedia taught me 3 worthwhile things: Hitsugaya controls ice, is ridiculously short, and has an insanely hard name to type. Now, I could possibly make a wallpaper on either his height or his abilities, but I didn't know the show well enough to make fun of it. So ice it was.
In order to get the ice effect, I went and downloaded a whole bunch of abstract brushes from JavierZhX on DA. They are awesome.
On this wall, I wanted to get away from the cluttered wallpapers I've been making and leave some more negative space. As you can see, I went crazy with the brushes and the attempt at a simpler wallpaper failed. Miserably. Old habits die hard.
On the brighter side, the typography looks pretty dang awesome, and I think I finally got the hang of using textures. And this is one of the best wallpapers I've done in a long time. And those brushes are awesome.
