Today was my grandmother memorial service and it went quite well. There wasn't as much crying as you'd think there would be because she was cremated instead, so all we saw was a very pretty and elaborate urn. Although when I first saw it, it made my heart jerk a little. The first thought that came to my mind was "Grandma's in there..."
But y'know, she was a God-fearing, God-loving woman, so I know that she's definitely in a better place. She set a good example to those she knew. Even if I knew her less, she tried to make sure she instilled morals into us as well. I'd say that part of who I am is thanks to her. So here's to you Grandma. May your spirit be happy and calm in Heaven.
My tension is starting to work itself out now. =^_^= It still seems like this is a dream, but I've told myself the truth, despite already knowing it. Moreso, I was trying to avoid thinking of it, but from now on, I'll try to remember the good she did for us. =ouo=
As it's been a long day, I think I shall go for a nap. I'll have to finish the request when I wake up so that the color version of Abbie and Lux'll be up. =3 Ja ne, minna-san!~<3 (And thanks to those who've been talking to me through this tough time, especially Waku-Waku. =3)
