Six Flags Great America... SAIKOUUUUU! XD

I had SOOO much FUN yesterday! It was so crazy~! X3 Y'know, I used to be afraid to go on roller coasters... Now I can't get ENOUGH of them! XD Actually, I'm still pretty nervous before I get on them... mostly because the wait can get pretty long X3

I'd only had a bowl of cereal to eat that morning, since I couldn't really eat anything else and there wasn't much time. I had to be up at 5:30 am so we could leave around 7:30, although we still ran a little behind, but we managaed to get over to grandma's around 8:15. Ironically, my aunt was getting ready around the time we got there, so we had to sit and wait for a bit. X3 I was told we were going to take a bus, since there was going to be quite a few of us, but I guess most of the people backed out, so instead, her friend brought a a large van, which was more than able to fit all of us =3 It was my aunt and brothers, then my younger cousin and my aunt's friend and her young son. My other aunt and older cousin drove themselves there.

As to be expected, there was quite a lot of people coming into the parking lot XD And at one point, the line got held up by one of the other workers... I can't really say I knew what was going on, though, since I couldn't hear. Apparently she was using profanity or something XD lolz I think she was getting angry at one of the people in line or something XD Well, we managed to get to a parking space relatively easily.

The first ride we went on, which most people overlook, was the Sky trek tower. That pretty easy-going tall thing which travels upward a third of a mile and overlooks the whole park. We decided to get started with that, and I was able to coordinate the rides with the map because of that =3 Once we got off, the first ride I had everyone go on was the Whizzer. X3 It's one of those good first coasters to go on to get yourself revved up =D When we were in line, though, my cousin was right behind me for one of the cars, and when I went to go put my bags down, he took my spot! (I was going to ride in a car alone...) I was like "WTH?! D=<" So I had to scoot into the car behind him with my brother. Well, we started going up... and up... And my brother's all like "Oh here it comes...!" And I'm all "SHUT UP! DX<" lol and then WHOOOSH! XD It was SO GREAT! (Keep in mind, it wasn't my first roller coaster, but it was probably my first standard fasty type one X3) I got such a rush! I was so hyped, I forgot all about my cousin taking my spot. He didn't mean anything by it and he's just a kid I learned later that he has Ausberger's or something, but you can barely tell since he acts like any normal 14-year-old *nods* Still, I never knew that before D= But he's more or less the same cousin anyway, so it doesn't really change things., so I just led everyone to the next nearest coaster X3 The next one we went on was The Demon. This one was serious bznss, yo X3 It had loops, and this was my first coaster that I'd been on with loops XD I nickname it "The Ear Smack" because near the end of the ride, both my aunt and I got smacked in the side of the head by the headrest. XD;; But I got smacked in the head by various things that day including a guy who brought his arm down on my head in line accidently near the end of the day... XD; I was all "Wth??? D=" He apologized and I said it was alright XD;;;, so it's not too big of a deal XD At one point because I wasn't used to loops, my head went forward and the force kept it that way for a second before I realized I should probably lift my head XD; After that one, I felt pretty dizzy, haha X3 At this point, my headache from a light breakfast was coming on moreso, so it was time to pop an Advil. We decided to head to lunch after the second (technically third, if you count the Sky Trek) ride.

My aunt works for this company, so we were able to get park admission and mealtime for just $25, which is pretty cool =3 Although the lunch ticket was during a certain time, so we had to make sure we got over to picnic grove between 1pm and 2:30pm and once we left, we couldn't go back, so we ate what we needed before leaving. I shoulda got and ice cream bar while I was in there, tho... Oh well X3 I had to pace myself eating to regulate between needing nourishment and feeling somewhat sick. I succeeded, especially since I'd gotten a salty pickle, which helped greatly to settle my stomach (plus it was delicious~!). I had a hot dog with mustard, some potato chips, potato salad, a slice of watermelon, a chicken drumstick, (that pickle xD), and some Sprite with pink lemonade mixed in =3

My brothers wanted to go on Logger's Run (a flume ride, and also tradition to ride) after eating, but I said I didn't want to go on it immediately after eating. So as a compromise, we went on Roaring Rapids (a family raft ride) which, while bumpy, isn't really difficult on the stomache, so it was a good ride to get back into the swing of things. After we got off, my aunt, her friend and friend's son had to go to the washroom. We thought they were coming back, but they took a long time, so we went looking for them. But we didn't see them around the area. So since we were there, we decided to ride The Dark Knight. It took nearly an hour to get to the ride. After we got into the coaster car, I realized I still had my sunglasses on my head, so I made a split decision to toss them into the area for leaving your items with the rest of my stuff. XD Fortunately, I was in the right position to get them right in there XD (I have a bad history of losing/breaking my sunglasses XD;) Even thought the ride was fun, it was short and had a lot of whips and turns. So as a final assessment, I don't think it was worth the near hour-long wait we had to go through to get to it. I was falling asleep in line and I don't like to let the adrenaline fade too much before I get on the next ride.

After we got off the ride, we found out that the other 3 that were in our party were getting in line for the Ragin' Cajun... I kinda sweatdropped because I knew what kind of ride it was... It's one of those roller coasters that has an individual car that spins really fast at one point, so I knew I wasn't going to ride on it... I can't handle the spinning rides. So we went over there to wait for them until they got off. In the meantime, we had just happened to be sitting by the stage that the Looney Tunes characters were having their dance-off performance, lol X3 But at that time, I was very tired and used the opportunity to rest while I listened to the performance XD (We actually saw them in a parade earlier while we were searching for our group members =>u>=) Actually, the driver's son didn't want to go on the Ragin' Cajun (and I don't blame him), so he was waiting with us. After a while, they finally got off the ride. My aunt said she wasn't expecting the whips and turns and by the time the ride started spinning, she started screaming obscenities XD And there was a kid on the ride XD The kid said he didn't mind, but she hoped he wouldn't tell his mom about it XD; lolz

So, after that, I wanted to go on the Viper. Looked like a pretty standard wooden roller coaster =3 My brothers and aunt and her friend and son stayed behind in a eating area, but my cousin came with me. Actually, we were confused about the entrance because even the the sign said Viper, there was another sign that said "Flash Pass users, only" (the Flash pass is something that people bought to get through the lines quicker) so we were trying to find the regular entrance. In the end, that was the entrance, but it branched off at one point. That sign was misleading... orz But the Viper was great and awesome =D My cousin was pretty freaked out about it, though. He closed his eyes and tried putting his head on my shoulder. I was yelling at him to get his head off my shoulder, because if he wasn't upright, that was going to make the ride worse and he probably would have gotten hurt. Of course, all that came out was "GET YOUR HEAD OFF MY SHOULDER!!! AHHHH!" XD; I might've made him feel bad afterwards when I was talking about how he shouldn't close his eyes or put his head on someone's shoulder... because after I get off a roller coaster, I'm still pumped on adrenaline, so I'm talking a lot and very loudly =^_^;= ... to put it lightly, that is... it might sound liek trash talk or bullying, maybe... ='u';;= Although I was telling him that he'd be fine, the tone of voice... might've sounded like I was indifferent. However, because he didn't really look like he was any immediate danger, I didn't feel like he needed to be coddled or anything. And he seemed to be fine enough after a bit of rest X3 (Although I wonder if he won't look up to me less because of that... XDD He also likes to draw, so whenever I go over to my grandmother's house and he's there, he's always asking me to draw something =^_^;= While flattering, it can be somewhat tiring, especially if I'm already tired XD;) I got to try funnel-cake for the first time and I really liked it X3 It was like a doughnut that was turned into spaghetti XD I should've bought another one for myself when I was by the funnel-cake Foundry, but at the time, I wasn't thinking about it.

So after we rested, I wanted to go on the American Eagle, which is a classic and apparently, it was celebrating its 30th year anniversary =D Happy 30th Eagle! <3 I loved it! I experienced another first here! It was the first time I was brave enough to put my hands up on a roller coaster! And that made it even more fun and I loved it! X3 I was in the Red coaster, though I actually wanted to go on Blue. Although I know why blue appeared to be winning. It's bacuse since it's on the outside, they launch it sooner (because outside takes a little longer when your on the outside), so it appears to be winning XD It is a racing coaster, though, so it might be nice if they launch red at the same time every once in a while X3 So if I were to bet on Blue, I'd probably win every time =eue= lolz Unfortunately, though... after we got off, my brother was feleing very sick and wanted to sit down. I had convinced him earlier to go on the Eagle with me since it was a classic. So we let him rest while we went on the train ride as a breather. I got somewhat upset that he was giving me a dirty look and I thought it was because he didn't want to go on the Eagle in the first place and I said he could've flat-out refused if that was the case. My aunt mentioned while we were on the train that she rememebered that he ate a lot of the funnel cake. I hadn't realized that, probably because I wasn't around to see him eating it, but I still felt really bad after my aunt told me. I apologized after we got back and asked if he was feeling better. He felt slightly better after sitting around for a bit, but he stll felt like he had to throw up. He didn't though, and felt better after resting some more. In the meantime, despite it being cool at the time, I wanted to go on Logger's Run, since it was a tradition for me. It was a tradition for my brother's too, technically, but they didn't get to go since it was cooler then and my brothers were done with rides for the day. I was going to go by myself, but my aunt said she was going to go with me. She didn't want to get wet and was still trying to dry off at that point XD So the driver's son offered to go with and my aunt stayed behind. Compared to roller coasters, Logger's Run is pretty tame, but I still enjoyed it all the same, as it's part of my childhood =3 Got wet again XD But it was worth it to me. X3

It was getting late, so we were on our way toward the entrance. However, as my last ride of the day, I had to go on the Batman. My friend had texted me saying I absolutely had to go on it and that I'd love it. I was nervous tbh, because it looked so tall, but I was determined to not back out *fistclench* The line was pretty long, despite nighttime coming on, but I'm sure it was a lot shorter than earlier. I could've sworn this girl behind me was about to grind all over me XD; She cut in front of her friends and was practically all over me and stuff and I'm just thinking "Ok.... this is awkward..." XD; No, not realy, I don't think, but it was still pretty close XD;;; And then when we were getting close to the ride, this guy was talking about something with his friends, and I guess he as stretching or gesturing, but he brought his elbow right down on the top of my head. XD; It didn't really hurt much, but I was surprised for a moment a moment and grabbed my head saying "Ah...!" The guy apologized and I was like "It's alright" and went back to waiting in line. Here was another first for me... My first suspended roller coaster X3 And BOY was it AWESOME! The thrill in it wasn't placed so much in the g-force of drops like the other coasters, but the centripital force of the loops and inertia of the corksrews. And I kept my eyes open for the whole ride and it was a rush to watch everything rushing by! I mean, I was nervous because the ride looked so fast from the ground, but actually being in it is something else! It feels like you're flying and it's just plain awesome! X3 I'll have to give my friend a hug for reccommending it X3 My [older] brother (who wasn't along with us for the trip, but goes to Six Flags a lot)also said it was the best ride in the whole park. And I agree! I think it may be my favorite one in the whole park! X3 And it's an excellent ride to end the night with~!

On the way out, my aunt had to stop at the "Guess your Age/Weight/Height" game. She won a prize X3 I played too and I beat him by one year. He guessed I was 19. Which actually is much more flattering than When most people think I'm 13 or 14. I think it's because my new hairstyle looks more like Halle Berry's, except it's longer in the back than hers. So I got a Batman cape X3 I was going to get a stuffed pickle at firsy but I was all "Capes? Sweet X3" Then we stopped at a mini version of the Bell-Ringing game. It was mostly for small kids, but my aunt played it because she wanted one of those spinning light globe wands XD And it makes noise when you wave it XD Then we were directed to the side of the main road because a parade was supposed to come through (but we didn't watch it). And I was bumped right into a Churro cart and I was all "OMG, I want a Churro! 8D" So I bought a Strawberry Churro X3 It was good~ But I just wish it weren't so expensive ='3';= And the last thing we stopped off at was a cart with more glowing things X3 I bought a blue pair of flashing light glasses X3

All in all, it was a super eventful day and something I really needed X3 I'm still feeling the effects of the rides a bit X3 I've discovered some things about myself, too...

1. Despite being the type prone to motion sickness, I have a high tolerance for roller coasters =D Although they do give me headaches, if I take something for it, I'm able to supress any excess pain on my own.
2. I love the adrenaline rush! XD
3. Roller coasters... get me "worked up" XD Ehehe
4. I get really hyped up after riding them... like another person... like Rambo or something XD

I am a little disappointed that I didn't get to go to the waterpark, though... I went to the trouble of wearing my new bikini and it only got wet twice =/ I wanted to show off a little X3 But I still had a lot of fun X3 AlthoughI really wanted to bring this guy friend along, but he had to work. Going on the rides would have been even more fun that way~ X3 But hey, maybe another time =3 Heck, I feel like I want to move nearby an amusement park just so i can get a job there and ride rides for free~! X3 But I wouldn't move nearby Six Flags Great Americs because I'd be too far away from my family. Maybe another amusement park if it has good roller coasters X3

Next time I go, I'd like to go with a large group of friends =3 Both girls and guys. And I want to play DDR in the arcade and maybe play some more of those prize-winning type games X3 My goal the next time I go is to ride the Raging Bull and Superman, since I didn't get to ride them this time =3 Well, that's pretty much my day at SFGA X3 Ja ne~! <3<3<3
