Thank you for your pretty offering, Indi-Cat. ;p

'Lo, mortal! Thou hath stumbled unto the realm of Ceiling Cat. Fear not, for she is merciful. Flee not, for she is kind. But know that if thou put forth thy foot into tomfoolery, thou shalt be Judged, and it shall be good. (For me. ;p)

But in all seriousness, this is my blog. I'm Kei, one of the News Editors for the site. I don't bite (hard), so don't be afraid to approach me. I'm actually quite tame.

And now for something completely different.

So. I was watching Fox last night and I came across the premiere of Lie to Me.

I want MOAR.

Part of it may stem from the fact that it's set in my new place of residence (which I could tell just by looking at the police cars in the trailer), but it's actually a very interesting little show. I like how they actually bring up actual photos from the real world to show the facial expressions that people do. Sure, I know that there has to be some embellishment for the sake of television (I mean, I know not everything on CSI is real), but all fiction is based on some fact.

Besides, the leading man makes me laugh. Completely blocking in a car because they jerk stole the spot you were obviously about to park in? Totally something I would do. If I could drive.

Also, the "radically honest" guy is freaking hilarious. Seriously.

If you haven't seen it, I would recommend trying to catch it next Tuesday. I don't know if Fox has clips of it up on their web site, but if they do, that's an easier alternative. It's worth it, I think.

EDIT: ...I just watched the first episode of Maria+Holic.

Unexpected main character was unexpected.

And yet this is hilarious. And the ED theme is damn addictive. Kyun.

Gome sees nothing here....

I finally managed to catch up with Junjou Romantica.

What's extremely funny to me is the fact that I had no knowledge of this series at all and me and a friend of mine have been writing a story since last March that reminds me almost exactly of Usagi and Misaki (the circumstances are very different, but the calamities and reactions to events are almost the same). It's a very strange and amusing case of déja vu.

But I'm wondering if JR was a series of books prior to this. If they are...I want them. Like NAO. >.>;

EDIT: So. It has a manga. Said manga has an English release.

DO WANT. T^T

lolhistory

So I watched all of the Presidential Inauguration from the comfort of my own home.

In regards to the speech, I must say, Obama still has the charisma of...I really don't know what. He has his own level of charisma. It was a good speech and had some really high points, though the analysts were quick to point out that he borrowed from some of his campaign speeches. (Hey, it's been done in the past. He's only human.)

And while the real highlight for me was when he said near the end of the speech that how his grandfather might not have been served in a restaurant and yet he can stand in front of millions of people and take the oath of office of the president, another high point for me was the classical piece that was performed.

Why?

YO YO MA.

Do you know how much I love that man? Cello for the win, kthnx.

*ahem*

Bur yes, it was a good ceremony, save for the whole Chief Justice flubbing the oath and whatnot. I was very proud and happy throughout.

Congrats, President Obama.

lolololol

How did this happen? I have no clue. Maybe it's the power of the Kei connection. XP

Anyway, things might be looking up a little. The teaching job people called me back and I've gotten fingerprinted and everything, so once everything clears, I actually should be employed (the whole selling stabbing implements thing fell through, in case you were wondering).

Cross your fingers for me.

My best friend is leaving for England tomorrow. Even though I haven't seen her since I left college, I already know I'll miss her even more than I do now. But she promised to send me postcards, so that's fun.

But still.
