I just saw the Cloud vs. Sephiroth trailer for the FF: Dissdia game.

Now, this is not just to be an FF fangirl. I have only, in actuality, played all of four Final Fantasy games (I, VII, X and XII) and have thus far completed only one.

This is coming from a fighting game fangirl prespective. Just looking at the gameplay, it seems that Square has taken this to an entirely new level. Completely interactive 3D environment, what seems to be a parrying system, Summons with added effects (I'm thinking that there may be a BRAWL-esque sidestory unlocking progression thing going on here), Limit Break system and OMGWTFPRETTY graphics. And music by God (a.k.a. Nobou Uematsu).

Just from what I've seen, it looks like this game may actually be the level-up that fighting game fans have been looking for in terms of 3D fighters. We'll just have to wait and see.

...I may get a PSP just for this. You'd damn well better import it, Square of America. I'm watching you.
