The sky was painted with dark clouds and roared with anger. People were running about trying to finish their shopping before the stores closed and the storm hit. These people were puny humans and nothing to the creatures that hid within their cities. A loud roar of thunder sounded and made a young girl flinch. Her amber eyes were blurred with tears, make-up streamed down her face. And loose hair fell in her face. She looked to be seventeen. Lightning struck and the girl hid behind the fountain. Humans ran out the building too their cars. The girl sat there for a while before feet appeared in front of her. The feet belonged to a girl about the same age as her. Her hair was brown and appeared to be tied up, her bangs were mint colored. “Um, excuse me. Are you okay?” The new girls voice was soft and caring. This human was pitying the scarlet haired girl? “My name is Suki, what’s your’s?” Again the girl spoke. The scarlet haired girl looked at her with curiosity. “Anna. M-my name is Anna.” Thunder sounded again, making Anna scream. “Would you like me to stay with you until the storm is over?” Anna nodded and the two sat in the corner behind the mall’s fountain.
“So Anna, where are you from?” Suki spoke calmly and sweetly. Anna was confused. Why was this human so caring? “F-from the south…” It wasn’t a lie, yet it wasn’t the truth. Anna was from the south, in her home dimension. “That’s cool. I’m from Thailand.” Suki was trying to make conversation with little Anna. “Thailand?” Like a small child. Suki told her about her family. Soon the clouds were gone and Suki stood up. “Do you have a place to stay?” A look of pour shock, a human was this nice? Anna pondered where she would be staying. “No.” Suki smiled and tilted her head just a little to the left, “You can stay with me.”
