Work update

So I survived the last few days at my local county fair cleaning bathrooms; it was really hot on Thursday and Friday, but cooled down nicely on Saturday. And hey, I get a paycheck out of it. Today, I started my more permanent job (I hope) at a local chocolate factory. Mainly what I did was put the plastic molds on trays and take trays of newly molded chocolates off the line and put them on trays to cool and all. And I did some cookie-ing, where you put the ring-shaped sugar cookie in a round mold that already has a bit of chocolate. It seems like a pretty good job so far; I mean, it's not like I've had many other offers come my way. The hardest part (at least it seemed so since this is the first day) was cleaning the heads which are the kind of tray things in the chocolate machines that drip enough chocolate into each mold. They get heavy when full and quite slippery to have to hold onto and scrape off, then carry over to the sink to rinse off.

Sunday morning I watched Adult Swim as usual. I'm very pleased that they're running Samurai 7 because I've never gotten to see all of that series and what I did see looked good. And they're re-running Eureka Seven; yahoo! Haven't actually seen that series since the last time it was on AS and I would like to think that they'll run it, then the sequel. And finally, thank the Lord they're finally getting back to the actual storyline in Bleach. Finally! I mean, those filler arcs ran for-pretty-near-ever.

And the final cool thing in my life is that my younger sister and her husband now have a new baby; they've been waiting to adopt for a while and their little boy was born Friday afternoon. He is incredibly adorable; I got to go down to their house on Sunday afternoon and hold him. He was pretty much asleep the whole time, but he is just too cute and I can't wait to cuddle him and play with him and teach him stuff as he grows up. Between my sister and me, maybe we can train him up to be an anime fan. I didn't ask about that, but we'd just have to get past my brother-in-law.
