As the title says, I am still working at my local chocolate factory; they even gave me some scrubs to wear to work today so maybe they mean to keep me at least through the end of the season. Today was my second day 'dumping' chocolate-dipped cookies out of molds. There's a trick to doing it so you don't wear out your hands and of course you have to be quick to keep up with the cookies going on the belt to be wrapped. I'm quite good at that; wish I were getting as fast about fitting box lids with the little paperstrips because I do that too and I feel bad when my partner has to stop sometimes and then whips through a stack and a half in the time it takes me to do one.
Had Labor Day off so I walked down the the beach near my house; about half and hour there and another back. Well, not counting the rest breaks I had to take on the way back because it was kinda uphill partway and I felt like I was gonna die. It got better when I drank the rest of the juice I'd brought with me and saw a couple squirrels in some trees. There's lots of trees around in my area; it'd actually be a cool place if someone cosplaying as a wood elf or something wanted to do a photoshoot. Anyway, during late spring, summer, and maybe fall, you see squirrels and rabbits from time to time, maybe deer in the evenings. I used to get a raccoon that'd come right onto my back patio and I'd feed it dog treats, but of course once I was out of treats it stopped coming around. I could've gotten in a lot of trouble for feeding it anyway. The condo area where I live doesn't even let people hang birdfeeders on account of they don't want people inadvertently feeding the squirrels.
Anime-wise, I've been reading the volumes of Bakuman that I'm borrowing from my local library. 'FaceOff' is on SyFy channel tonight so I'll definitely be catching that.
