Okay, so I've got some down time right now (meaning everyone in my hall is snoozin or doing homework or watching netflix hm actually yeah they are probably watching netflix) and I decided to give you guys a life update on MY FIRST WEEK AT COLLEGE WHAT /hears distant whisper in the wind "no one caaaares"
But yeah. SO. The people in my hall are preeeeetty cool. Besides the whole Akioh-being-my-neighbor thing (WHICH IS STILL WEIRD AND I CANNOT WRAP MY HEAD AROUND THIS???), I also kind of sort of know two other people in my hall (they went to high schools in my area and were on the academic teams and I spoke to one of them briefly at a match, plus the other was also in marching band and we probably crossed paths many times. Yep.) so yeah that's cool. Also another person and I are pretty sure that we marched in the Disney World parade on the same day. Yup.
IT'S A SMALL WOOOOORLD AFTER ALLLLL~
Orientation was weird. Fun, but weird. If I ever to have an awkward mixer with people ever again i might cry
BUT YO I GOT ME SOME DORM PRIDE NOW. ALL DEM OTHER DORMS AIN'T GOT NOTHIN ON US--was that another roach WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE TOILET IS SPEWING WATER AGAIN no ac pshaw fans are where it's at etc etc these have been common themes/phrases 'round these parts so far
But yeah! My classes are pretty chill so far. Tomorrow marks a full week of having them. My smallest class has about 15 people, and my largest almost 300. Eep. 3/5 of my classes are big lectures. /sobs i want smaller classes CURSE YOU INTRO COURSES
I've got 14 credits and it's kind of making me feel like a slacker (like i only have one class on Mondays and Fridays and it only meets for 50 minutes in the morning whut) but my Tuesdays and Thursdays are pretty busy. Tuesdays, especially. Classes from 11-6:30 with only about 2 hours worth of breaks. Potentially longer because there might be film screenings Tues nights for my freshman seminar as well ahhhh
SPEAKING OF WHICH YEAH MY FRESHMAN SEMINAR IS ABOUT JAPANESE MONSTERS AND WE GET TO READ MANGA AND WATCH ANIME AND IT IS COMPLETELY OKAY/RELEVANT.
i am excited
although i think i failed my first ever college quiz in there today LESS EXCITEMENT YEAH
but yes i think i managed to make friends with my chem professor because he is letting me borrow a textbook for his class(i think for the semester? if not, just temporarily until i can order one haha BUT STILL)so this makes me happy even though i think i accidentally insulted him when i spoke to him today whoops
And i've also joined the pep band uwu We played at an away game on Saturday and lost but HOT DANG IT WAS ACTUALLY CLOSE FOR A WHILE I also got a sunburn but shhhh
but man we left at 3:30 am AND I HAD TO HIKE ACROSS CAMPUS BY MYSELF BECAUSE MY HALLMATE WHO IS ALSO IN IT LEFT WITHOUT ME that was fun/kind of scary
i also joined a few other clubs but we'll see how many i can actually attend /shakes fist at awkward schedule
But uh yeah I had some other story/stories i wanted to tell but now i've forgotten oops HOPE YOU GUYS ARE DOING WELL AND HAVING FUN WITH LIFE AND STUFF ;w; /waves and skips away to do college-y things netflix
