'Kittenlark' reappears?

Hi everyone reading this! *hugs tightly*

December 12th 2010. I'm very sad to say that is the date of the last time I posted on MyOtaku. Now I am going to try to update here.

I'd like to first say that I did *not* intend to be away from this site for so long. Many things happened and as I became more and more stressed, I kept forgetting about this site. And, to top it all off, my computer (which had been working poorly for a long time) got worse and finally gave up working at all. I'm typing to all of you on my new computer, which my wonderful little brother built.

Now- I keep trying to figure out *why* I keep retreating from this site when I like it so much. (don't bother reading this paragraph if you don't want to. It's likely to be a bit 'ranty') And, I finally realized something today. I keep leaving almost EVERY site I join because I become overwhelmed when people using the site are nice to me. O.o Strange, right? But, as people online are nice to me, I (foolishly) start to put pressure on myself to be as nice as possible back and I start to burn myself out. It doesn't make sense and I keep trying to tell myself that it's foolish.

Another thing which hasn't helped is that I've realized that as more and more time passes, I have less and less interest in anime or manga, which occasionally makes it hard to leave constructive comments on wallpapers and fanart.

Well, lame excuses aside, my new plan is to try to remind myself at least once a week on Sundays (this day may change) to sign on and check on a few people's world/MyO posts. You people are really who I care about and I may end up making time to look through a few people's works too, but I don't want to make promises.

Now that we've gotten *that* out of the way. How have all of you been? Enjoying the weather where you are? (heehee, I'm enjoying that my lil brother kept saying 'its spring its spring!' and now it's snowing again)

Things have been crazy busy lately. I had a huge test in Soo Bahk Do to prepare for. It was the final test that can be taken locally. I passed! (with a couple of conditionals that I have to clear up in breaking) ^^ That was a huge weight off of my shoulders. Now, once the paperwork goes through, I'll be the highest rank before black belt. ^^ I'm happy. And sore. Lol, though most of the injuries I've sustained were really my own fault and they're finally starting to heal.

For a while I was pretty upset because it felt as though I was just attracting injuries. First, in a class after the test, we were jumping over milk crates (I don't know if everyone knows what they're like, but they're basically very hard, plastic crates) and I've always hesitated, then given up, when they stack them to a certain height. But I really really wanted to at least *try* that night, so I gave it everything I had and I fell on/over them, scraping off a lot of skin, bruising most of both of my knees along with a long bruise/torn muscle on my right leg.

Then, about one class later, my left knee gave out for some reason which I STILL don't know. Basically, I bent down to jump (I was just practicing jumping. I wasn't going over anything that time) and when I tried to push up, my knee lost all strength and I could barely pull myself up again -.- sheesh.

OH and THEN just to put the icing on the cake- about one night later, I was walking through my bedroom, putting a skirt in my closet, when I slipped and rammed the back of my hand into the corner of my dresser.

Yeah. That was not fun. Truthfully the last one wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't for all the others and I just felt stupid for falling ^^;

Hmm, well, other things that have happened... There's a lot. Yeah... It's been so busy, I honestly can't believe that it's March. Hmm, 'time flies when you're having fun', I guess I must have been having fun? lol, some of the busy-ness has been fun.

My Mom and I are now tutoring some homeschoolers in Latin. It's exciting. I know practically no Latin, so I'm sort of learning at the same time as they are. Mostly, I keep order in the class (Mom's hearing isn't so great, so she doesn't always hear when the kids start picking on each other, which happens a lot since they're siblings ^^ Ah, sibling love. It's all out of love, right? hehe) So, that's been interesting.

I'm sure that I could keep typing for quite a while, but this looks like it's already quite long enough.

Thank you to everyone who has read all of this. And a huge thank you to those of you who still remember me and put up with all my absences. If it wasn't for you, I really wouldn't keep coming back to TheO, so, thank you. *hugs* You have no idea how often I pray for all of you and think fondly of you. ^__^

Take care and God Bless you!

Have a great day!

End
