I got a call from my old man today after about 2 years of silence. And all I did was send him a birthday card.

It was the usual "How are you/filling in some lost time" thing, he told me he moved again and that one of my two favorite uncles moved too.
Oh, and he asked if I wanted to come down to visit him for the weekend sometime in the summer. I AM his only child and he DID make efforts to pay attention to me, so why not? Plus, I might get to see my fabulous uncle again while I'm there.
And, it'll get me out of the house for awhile.
