This is, quite simply, my most favorite song ever. It's Wing-Stock by Ashley McIssac, and I never would have found out about this rock celtic awesome guy if it weren't for Tite Kubo. Really. Here's the live version. It is slightly more awesome.

Catching up on comics...

I'm way behind. I know I should never buy more comics or manga until I finish what I have, but I haven't read anything I've bought in ages. I own every issue of Shojo Beat, for example, and stopped reading it when I left for college because mu mother forgot to ship them, and I just got really darn behind.

There are 25 individual manga volumes I own that I have not yet read, including volumes of Fruits Basket, +Anima, Ouran High School Host Club, Dramacon, Trigun, a few of Clamp's shorter works, and Saiyuki. Aside from Trigun, I did have a habit of reading any shonen or Mushishi volumes I bought on the spot, because shonen can be finished quickly and Mushishi is just that good.

I was fed up. I also had those three years of Shojo Beat to catch up on, and two years of Shonen Jump. And let's not forget about all of my Torchwood and Doctor Who comics I've yet to finish.

So I started reading. And reading. And in the past day, I finished all but three of my back issues of Jump, and I have a pile of all the manga I want to finish before the school year starts so I can finally finish four series that I started in high school (Dramacon, +Anima, Fruits Basket, and Clamp Detectives) and find some new thins to read.

Now that I actually look at my manga pile, the only manga I own that are still continuing are:

Fullmetal Alchemist
xxxHOLIC
Mushishi
D-N-Angel
and Saiyuki Reload

I can remember when I used to follow ten different series at once! Most of them finished (+Anima and Fruits Basket, though I have yet to read the ends for each), some of them I simply stopped collecting (Bleach -I read it in Shonen Jump now- and Tsubasa). Some both (Inuyasha, Rurouni Kenshin).

I'm bringing a few volumes of manga with me this weekend (8 total) and hopefully I can polish all of them off.

Yeah, I'm alive, mostly.

So. Right. This is supposed to be a blog. Let me go through what's been going on.

Backing up to a month ago, I was supposed to go on a two week vacation with my family, starting July 4th. Then my dad started dropping not one but two simultaneous kidney stones. So, that didn't happen. Then Otakon. The I got back and had dental surgery, which was annoying. I still have two more procedures to go.

So now I'm getting ready for college, studying for the GREs, looking at graduate programs and jobs, etc. I move into college in 2 weeks.

Oh, and TC, I have your gift. My mom still hasn't mailed it.

Torchwood

So, if anyone here gets BBC America, the new Torchwood 5-part miniseries has been plying. Each day, they're adding one new episode at 9PM, as well as replaying the previous ones from midnight until, well, whenever it takes to complete 'em.

Grab your TiVo and start catching up!

Con reports coming soon, btw.
