Naother day at school down, Me and my twin sister Kukaru walked home as always. Our arms linked we walked and talked about the day, even though we were in all the same classes and had the same friends we always found something to tlak about. She was my exact copy, or was i hers. We always agreed that we were identical, in more then just looks.
We both liked reading manga, maths and spoke flawless english. You could say that our teachers loved us, for our brains. Our house was warm and cheery, and it was only us two sisters who lived with our mum and dad. They oved us both and even though they tried to treat us a two indervisuals we always insisted that we were just one person who was conveniatly in two bodies.
"Afternoon Mother." we both chimed. We usually did this, say the same thing at the same time. The only time we didn't was when we would stand on either side of a person and speak different parts of our sentence. it made the person look like they were watching a tennis match... It ALWAYS cracks us up.
"Good Afternoon my darlings." Our mum was in the kitchen cooking dinner.
"We'll be doing our homework in front of the Tv."
"Ok, but remember your father will want to watch the news."
"Ok mamma." We both chimed and with that set our homework and books out on the ground infront of the Tv and layed down doing it, with the Tv turned onto some of our favoruite cartoons.
As our dad came home he greeted us kindly. he was a business man to the max, but he always made time to be with me and Kukaru. His favourite girls.... apart from mum.
He grabbed the remote and asked kindly
"May i change the channel?" he asked in english, Just to check we were paying attention in class.
"YES Father, you may change the channel." we replied.
The news began and we listened to what had been happening to the world around us.
"Today serial murderer......." my mind wondered to Kira... i had been on the internet a couple days ago and i had come across an old article for Kira, he had killed millions of evil people yet the police had tried to stop him. Now he was gone, there was no more Kira.
I looked up at the picture and saw a suspected serial murderer come out of the court house... then he grabbed a reporter.
I sat up straight and stared at the Tv.... What was going to happen. Then suddeny the picture cut back to the reporter.
"...... was pronounced died at the scene from a brain hemorage." It went to another picture of the police covering the body, blood was pooled on the ground.
"Eww, disgusting. Soo much blood." i squirmed at the site of blood.
"A brain hemorage... spilliing THAT much blood, interesting." my sister had a look of disgust on her face as she said it, but unlike me she couldn't look away.
"Isn't that just gross?" i asked. Kukaru looked back and me and smiled.
"There's worse, what about that time that little boy...."
"That's enough, girls should not talk like that." My mother yelled from the kitchen, but my twin was right, there HAD been worse. At at that time both me and my sister had had to leave the room from the pictures they showed...
The news continued on with it's stories and i went back to my homework. if only Kira had been there. He would have killed that man by a heartattack before he spilt so much blood on the steps of the courthouse.

Arisa!!
"And that how the Russo-Japanese war impacted our life today," the teacher droned on.
I kept my head on my desk. The teacher had been droning for hours it seemed. I couldn't figure how history was anything but boring. I was nearly asleep. Just a little further and dream-land would open it's gates.
"Remamaru? Remamaru Sakamoto are you sleeping in class?" a voice asked.
My eyes snapped open and the eyes of a very angry teacher were staring at me. I sat up straight and my green hair moved out of my face. Mizawa looked over at me from across the room.
"Sorry Sensei," I said quickly. "I...I...."
"Can you tell me the significance of the Russo-Japanese War?" he asked smirking to himself.
"No but I can tell you the roots of the function ...." I started.
"That is enough Remamaru," the teacher said now looking more hurt than happy. I had used that example for more than half the year. Then his composure changed. He seemed to get mad.
"Remu, you are one of the brightest people in the school and yet you're grades are terrible! You don't apply yourself at all except in math and science! You need to understand history to understand the world. And what about that green hair of yours. It is illegal on school grounds," the teacher started.
I knew this...It was another lecture. I had heard one from nearly every teacher. I was apparently a bright student in any class of education, but I only applied myself to two main subjects. And my hair was nothing new. I had had it since freshman year, but the principals had stopped caring once they saw my standardized test scores.
"Look," I started glaring at him. I had had enough. “I get that history is great to you, but I just don’t see the point sensei. I don’t see the reason for studying impacts of the past when we are living in the present. Also my green hair is nothing new. I have had it for a while, so please don’t criticize me on matters that have long been dead.
The teacher sighed at me. He wasn’t going to win and knew it. There were no parents to call back home, and Sis was too busy to deal with me anyways. Finally the teacher went back to droning about the war, and I went back to sleep.
Once the bell rang, Mizawa woke me up. I looked up somewhat dazed, but got up and got my things together.
“So anyways Remu,” Mizawa started laughing. “You managed to beat back Nasawa-sensei….how do you feel?”
“I feel tired,” I answered.
Mizawa just laughed.
“Anyways so are you going straight home today?” Mizawa asked. “Because if so, before that you need to grab your stuff from my house from the night before.”
“Oh…ya I forgot, I’ll come by later Mi-chan,” I answered. “I want to get home and work on my calculus home work first and get dinner started.”
“Ok jeeze Rem you fight the system about history and then jump the boat on math….well at least you’re not like me who fights all the systems heh. Oh and what are you having for dinner?,” Mizawa laughed.
“Mi-chan, don’t talk like that,” I laughed. “I’m thinking about Ohagi maybe. I haven’t made it on a while. Anyways I’m going home, so see ya later!”
“Bye!” Mizawa laughed and we parted.
I rode the train back home. It was around three, and I wanted to get my homework done and then go hunt down Mizawa and go to the mall. As I started to unlock the door, I found it was already open.
Oh man! That serial killer from the news is in my house! I panicked but continued to push the door open. If it was the killer I could just out run him….. As I pushed open the door, Kaori looked up from her seat at the dining table.
“Oh it’s just you Sis,” I smiled walking in. “I didn’t think you’d be home so early. Don’t tell me you started dinner!”
Kaori rolled her eyes, and I just laughed.
“Must you bring that up every day?” she asked.
“Yes,” I answered, “Because if I didn’t cook there would be no reason to keep me around.”
Kaori smacked her forehead fast. I walked farther into the main room and set my things on the couch. Arthur spazzed and hissed at me. I had dropped the bag straight on him.
“Oh sorry Arthur,” I said moving my things away from him. “Anyways what are you doing home Sis? Don’t you have work?”
“I wasn’t feeling well,” Kaori answered.
“Are you ok?” I asked bending over and putting my hand on her forehead. “You do seem a little warm. Have you made an appointment with the doctor?”
“Remu, I’m fine,” Kaori said moving her head away.
“Ya that is what you said last time and last time you had the flue for three weeks straight! No I’m calling the doc now,” I answered walking over to the phone.
“No, I’m fine really!” Kaori said quickly. “I’ve just had somewhat of an off day….”
“Are you sure?” I asked. “Because if you get sick, I am not skipping school to take care of you.”
“I’m fine….really,” Kaori answered.
I sighed and finally gave up. As I walked into my domain, the kitchen, I started up the rice cooker and put some of the ingredients on the table.
“Well I was going to make ohagi, but I think some chicken and rice would be better for you,” I said looking into the fridge. There wasn’t much to work with, but then again I rarely had much to work with. After about five minutes of work, I walked over and gave Kaori some soup.
“So how was school?” Kaori asked as she took a sip of the soup.
“Meh…… Nasawa-sensei was trying to teach me the importance of history again. I still don’t care,” I answered. “But in calculus I was having a lot of fun. We were working with easy stuff. And Chemistry II and Biology II were a lot of fun too.”
“As always,” Kaori answered rolling her eyes.
“Oh come on,” I protested. “When will I need English or Japanese or History in the real word?”
Kaori put her hand to her head and sighed.
“You use English every day, Japanese is our language, and you have to learn from the past!” she shot back.
“Ick you sound like Mom, quit it,” I said sharply.
Kaori looked at me and then back at her soup.
“Sorry….I didn’t mean it like that,” I said. “Anyways I was going to call Mizawa and go to the mall, but I think I’ll just finish my calculus and study history and English. If you need me I’ll be in my room.”
“Remu have you seen the news……” Kaori asked.
“Wha- I just got home how do you expect me to have watched the news?” I asked. "I know I can cook but that doesn't mean I'm magic."
“A man died,” she answered not even atempting to laugh at my joke.
“People die everywhere every day,” I answered. “We can't stop it, so why does it matter….was he your secret boyfriend or something?”
Kaori gave me a sour look, and I laughed.
“Sorry….I guess the world’s made me pretty harsh,” I said. I grabbed my back from the couch and headed off to my room.
I was walking home from work. It'd just been another boring day. As I walked my street I noticed yet another flyer had been pinned up.
"Beware Serial Killer has been sighted in this area." I read. It was sickening. "If KIRA were still around...stuff like this wouldn't happen." No sooner had the words left my lips than out of nowhere something fell behind me. I turned to find a black notebook, lying open on the ground. Closing it, it read "Death Note"
"Huh? Death Note?" I questioned. Then I opened it up. "How it works..."
I read all the rules and slightly laughed...but took it home with me anyway. The apartment in which I lived lie dormant and dark. Flicking the switch I turned on the light and gave it life. My cat Arthur ran up to me and rubbed on my legs.
"Good Evening, Sir Arthur." I joked. "You must be hungry. Where is Remu anyway??" After feeding him, I found a note on the counter from my little sister.
-Kaori,
Because I know you forgot...I'll be at a friends house overnight...so don't get all worried or anything...
Remu
P.S. And since I KNOW you would starve without me...your dinner is in the oven. Try not to burn it when you warm it up.
I giggled a bit and looked in the oven at the dinner she'd left me. "That girl..."
I looked to my bag...the Death Note was peeking out a bit. I ignored it and instead ate my dinner. After, I took my tea into the living room and sat down. It was still there...taunting me. Gradually I pulled it from my bag and began reading it once more. "This is crazy...unless...maybe the Savior Kira had found something like this?"
Laughing at my craziness, I dismissed the thought and went to bed. The next morning when I woke up, something big, and black was in the corner of my room. The Serial Killer!!! Was my immediate thought. But as my eyes cleared, I found something far more gruesome.
A pale skinned, creature with bulging eyes and a crooked smile. Jagged yellow teeth that seemed could rip through my being in an instant gleamed in the morning sun. His attire was black, his shirt seemed sewn to his body and his arms and legs weren't of normal lengths either. No...he was a monster. Looking back at his face, his raven black hair stood on end, and a piercing in his left ear drew my attention. A silver heart that dangled and glistened lightly.
I nearly jumped out of my skin...but kept my composure somehow. Maybe my soul had already left my body...who could tell...
"So, you have the Death Note right?" He moaned. "Well Speak up!" He stated when I failed to reply.
"That's not real...is it?" I said quietly.
He laughed. "As real as I am. Haven't you even tried it out yet?"
"No...I haven't had enough time...not like I would..." I stated, giving excuses.
"I'll be back once you have...I'm sure you'll be full of questions then..." He laughed and disappeared.
What the Hell? I thought loudly. I had just stumbled on that book yesterday...and WHY would I want to try it out...unless...I could continue KIRA's work...
Slapping the sides of my face I stood up abruptly and shook such thoughts from my head. I was overworked....yeah...that was just a hallucination and the book was just some kids prank. They probably threw it at me to see if I'd pick it up... "I must look pathetic." I mumbled. Yet speaking of work....I HAD TO GET UP!!
Arthur meowed loudly in the kitchen and I fed him his breakfast. I brushed my teeth, got ready for work and was out the door as usual. "Ah..." I sighed. "Another mundane day in paradise." I spoke sarcastically walking to work.
When I got there I overheard the other women in the break room discussing the morning news.
"It's crazy! He obviously killed them! The proof was irrefutable...yet because he had such a smooth lawyer he's getting off!" One shouted.
I took an immediate interest. He wouldn't get off if KIRA were still around...I found myself thinking once more.
"Yes it's true...but in this world it seems the only thing that truly matters is MONEY." The other sighed. "There were rumors of a payoff...apparently the guy was loaded...how else could he afford a lawyer like that?"
"It's sickening...if KIRA were..." The first began.
"SHHHH! Don't talk like that...KIRA is long gone...what will people think if you supported someone like that?" The other quickly silenced her. "I mean...it's one thing when you're a teenager, but we're adults now..." She continued to lecture.
I walked to my desk. It was true though...KIRA had been on the path of creating a world of good. Yet the police wouldn't rest until they ended that dream...even though it wasn't ACTUALLY the police. It was all still shrouded in mystery just WHY KIRA disappeared...but I was sure it was some secret branch of the police...I mean...why else would he stop in the middle like that? When he was so close...
"Whatever. None of my concern." I disregarded getting to work. As I unpacked my briefcase IT was there. The "Death Note". I contemplated throwing it out...yet for some odd reason I merely closed my briefcase and left it there. Promptly getting to work.
The time flew by and soon my watch chimed, it was almost lunch break. I got ready to go when the same women from before came screeching into the room. They ran to the Television and flipped it on. It was a live report of the release of some man. He was standing in front of a courthouse surrounded by the press.
"Natsuhiko Takamura is on his way out of the County Courthouse a free man today, following a long and intense court case." The reporter chimed. She then swarmed the man herself. "Mr. Takamura! Do you feel that Justice has been served here today?"
The man smiled maliciously. Just LOOKING at him...you could see he was guilty...that smug expression..."That's right. The best kind of justice..." He answered happily.
"Chh...Best kind of justice...you don't KNOW justice..." I muttered to myself. I found myself subconsciously reaching for my briefcase. Pulling the Death Note out, I read the words on the inside cover once again. I think it was mainly wishful thinking...
-The Human whose name is written in this note shall die.
-This note will not take effect unless the writer has the person's face in their mind while writing his/her name. Therefore, people sharing the same name will not be effected.
-If the cause of death is written within 40 seconds of writing the person's name, it will happen.
-If the cause of death is not specified, the person will simply die of a heart attack.
-After writing the cause of death, details of the death should be written in the next 5 minutes and 40 seconds.
"This is SOME elaborate prank those kids pulled. Like they thought every little detail out..." I muttered quietly.
On a whim, I put my pen to the paper. On the off chance that this thing works...I'd have to make the cause of death something good. A heart attack is TOO common...I wouldn't have any proof. But then again...this IS JUST A PRANK...so I don't think it would hurt to get a little creative. I mean...it's not like it'll work anyway...
--Natsuhiko Takamura--takes reporter hostage but is suddenly thrown into a frenzy. Blood streams from his eyes, nose and mouth, and he dies from a sudden and intense brain hemorrhage.--
I put my pen down my watch chiming 12:00pm, and watched the TV as that criminal continually flaunted his win...speaking of the truest forms of justice. I could almost SEE the blood on his hands...nothing was happening though. Impatiently I closed the book and put it away. I knew it was a prank...but I almost wish it wasn't...
Five minutes after now. I had to get going. I picked up my stuff and prepared to leave when suddenly the girls started squealing in front of the Television.
"OMG! LOOK! Sakamoto-san!" They called out, halting me. I jerked my head up to look.
Takamura had a hold of the Reporter and was dragging her up the stairs in a crazy fit...then out of nowhere blood began to stream down his face...first his eyes, then his nose and he coughed...blood...He fell to the ground, leaving the reporter hysterical and the press swarming wildly.
"Oh my gosh! He's...dead!" The Woman shouted. The police intervened and shortly after the broadcast was cut off.
I sat down in my chair hard. It was me...the book wasn't a prank...I wasn't hallucinating this morning...THE MONSTER WAS REAL! The realization was hard to grasp...and while I didn't want to believe it...those results were irrefutable. That was TOO RANDOM to ever happen because I wanted it to.
"He just died on TV! What do you think happened? That was so ODD!" One of the women chimed. "Sakamoto-san...what do you think?"
"Uh, That was really scary!" I feigned. I had to keep my composure and act normal at ALL COSTS. "All that blood! I hate Blood!"
"I know!" They agreed. "Scary!"
"Even though he deserved it..." I heard the other woman mumble.
"I think I'm going home for the rest of the day...I'm not feeling well..." I suddenly stated. "I'll see you guys later."
After getting permission to leave, I went straight home. Arthur rubbed at my legs but I was completely oblivious...I had just killed a man...it was MY doing...so it was true. KIRA MUST HAVE HAD THIS POWER! That's when it hit me. If that's true...and it fell into my hands...then I was MEANT to continue his work! To right the wrongs and build his world of peace! I would do it...with my own two hands...and I wouldn't let ANYONE stop me...I wouldn't be caught.
-End of Act ONE...A NEW KIRA!- lol.

Weight: 165lbs
Status: Single
Rank: Co - Head of the new Anti-Kira Task Force
Appearence/Personality: Jet black hair & green eye's, pale complection & always sports his worn jean jacket when not at work. Dante is the complete opposite of his brother who is what society see's as "the perfect gentleman". He has a habit of speaking his mind and doesn't hesitate to let someone know they've crossed him. His general disreguard for doing things by the book has lead to his nearly loseing his job on a number of occasions only for his brother to reason with the department to let him keep it. Despite all that when he get's into a case he never loses sight of the task at hand and sees things through to the end though he does get his fair share of complaints in during the entire investigation.
Special Talents: Breaking the rules, fixing up motorcycles, master on the drums
Background History: Dante is the twin brother of Auron Kazuma. Very little is knonw of him mainly because prior to becoming a cop he had some trouble with the law and was forced by his brother to join the force or go to prison. Dante still seems holds a grudge against his brother for this but inside he is thankful to be on the other side of the cuffs for once.
Other Information: Dante took a real interst in the first Kira and is delighted when his brother tells him the news of this new Kira, jumping at the chance to test his limits against the power of Kira. Dante continually try's to beat Auron in fights but lacks the same skill his brother has and usually ends up loseing in the end.

Division: Kira supporter
Thoughts on KIRA: Idolizes Kira for protecting the world from injustice, although he does acknowledge the Kira entity as a god.

He will bow down and sing Kira's praise at any random moment, he will also pimp smack anyone who dares bad mouth his idol, which has landed him in jail quite a few times. Ren, for some reason, is also a hopeless romantic, he'll flirt with pretty much any girl he sees, he truly hopes this wont put him in the red with Kira.
Specialties: Evading arrest. Recon photography. Seduction (oh yeah, I went there).
Likes: Kira. Women. Sour candies.
Dislikes: Filthy things. Vegetarians. Injustice.

His eyes are piercing blue!
