"Just a Second!" A Muffled cry called out, followed by the sound of footsteps approaching from behind the door; it swung open, SK's face twisted in a somewhat irritated expression. That is...until he realized it was me...then it turned to one of pure shock. "Miss....Miss Kaori?" He stumbled.
"I know...I'm so sorry for just dropping in on you like this...but I didn't have your number and we HAVE to-" I started, all the while my eyes slowly moving from his face downwards. Mid-sentence I realized he was wearing NOTHING but his boxer-shorts...My bag of apples collided with the floor once again...followed by Ryuk yelling at the top of his lungs at me...but I didn't hear a word. My eyes were frozen on SK's surprisingly fit exterior...until I realized I was staring...slowly my face flushed and then SK noticed himself. His eyes went wide and he dashed back for his living room...grabbing a pillow first...but quickly exchanging it for a blanket.
My own eyes wide, I knelt down for the second time to retrieve the no doubt "bruised" apples. Ryuk was whining...but I continued to ignore him. The air was tense and it was very quiet...only getting more and more awkward...
"I'm..so sorry Miss Kaori-" SK began, but I interrupted him.
"Anyhow, did you happen to see the news report yet today?" I spoke quickly...my eyes still glued firmly to the apples...and nothing else. Closing the door after I'd cleared the doorway, I crawled inside for the stragglers. "I suppose I'll just tell you either way. A Pair of Detectives have arrived in Japan to investigate the 'KIRA' Case."
"About that...I suppose there's something that should be said..." SK conversed. "It just so happens...I'm acquainted with these detectives."
"Acquainted?! How....?" I nearly shouted coming to my feet. Yet seeing SK still half-naked was still a little too much for me...I always DID have a thing for a man's naked torso... >.>' Before he could answer me, I made a break for his bathroom in order to compose myself.

"You're as cold as ever, you know that?" I chimed in as we'd boarded the plane. I just threw my carry-on baggage over my shoulder haphazardly. "I mean, Newlyweds... you know what that makes you look like-"
"I can really care less about anyone's ill-perceptions of me. That includes you...my nonchalant little brother."
"Pfft...of course you don't...forgive me." I rebuked sarcastically.
After we boarded and took our seats Auron immediately took to ignoring me the whole time. I rolled my eye's and blasted my music and thought about the long trip. It would be nice to go to a place I considered home and I was actually looking forward to seeing Kiamari again. We had a lot of catching up to do...
Narita Airport--12:15pm
We disembarked and made our way out of the airport. It took us quite awhile with the crowd but we finally made it to a car Auron once again had waiting for us. I didn't care much for it though, not now, not here. the only thing I really cared about was that I felt like for the first time in years, I was home. I guess it was obvious because I had that goofy smile on my face the whole damn time.
When we arrived at an abandoned structure and Auron rolled down his window slowly. I couldn't believe we were actually looking at it. "And here is where it will all begin...again..." Auron said quietly.
"So it's just been sitting here all this time?" I stated, well aware of just WHAT the meaning behind this building was.
"Drive in." Auron commanded the driver then turned to answer my query. "Yes. After the betrayal of Light Yagami and that incompetent sham of a Task Force was shut down, this place was seized by Interpol, which they've kept in their custody all this time. Completely untouched...until now." He explained. "They've given us exclusive permission to use this place and all it has at our disposal. Who knows what we could uncover in there."
"Come on now...I doubt there's anything here." I rebuked. "Wasn't that guy just USING the Task Force? No way would he leave anything behind for us to use NOW."
Auron smiled and looked at me. "Very wise of you. At the very least though, the computer systems should prove useful."
I laughed with delight and cracked my knuckles. "Oh yeah! Can't wait to get my hands on that system! Which reminds me...I have a laptop to get back..."
"What's that?"
"Oh nothing..."
"It doesn't really matter. It's getting late on in the day now though...I suppose we should go out to get something to eat." Auron deliberated.
After dropping off our belongings, we took to the streets. There was no better way to get around Tokyo than by foot in Aurons mind, I woulda preffered a motor bike or somethign but whatever. We walked a couple blocks, before I relized how unenthused Auron was. I just shook my head and looked around the place, thinking of old times. Then we were halted by a sidewalk accident. A woman had clumsily dropped all her groceries...which was actually just a bag filled to the brim with apples.
"What a mess, I hope that phone call wasn't important." Auron commented
"Yeah, it's a MESS. You could HELP...geez!" I bent down and started to help her clean up.
"Uh, you don't have to.." She started
"Just ignore him...he's like that to everyone. Even me." I commented with a slight laugh.
Auron handed her a single apple, and looked straight into her eyes. "We're GOING." He commented loudly and walked around her, continuing on his way. He seemed extremely irritated again.
"Auron dammit!" I shouted. I put the last couple apples in the bag quickly and jumped up. "Here's your phone...sorry about him." I apologized and took off in an effort to catch up. I came quickly behind, and we walked into the first cafe we came across. Passing a girl with green hair on her way out. "Whoa nice hair sweetheart." I remarked as I passed her. I don't know if she heard me but I know that Auron did. I could tell by his glare. We took a seat, and waited for our waitress patiently when I decided I'd give Kiamari a call seeign as Auron was busy wih something. As always it took him a moment or two to answer, then finally

" No Dante HEY! " Atleast I think that's what he said I couldn't tell cause Auron took the phone and hung it up then put it in his pocket.
"Alright I get it but I do need to stop by Kiamari's place in about an hour Auron I need to give him back his laptop and I don't care if you come with me or not..." After eating I told Auron where I was going and got my phone back form him then headed off to Kiamari's. As I was walking lost in thought a car drove by and honked at me. I turned my head to face the person, it was Kiamari's mother and father. I waved as they drove by then shook my head and laughed. Finally reaching his appartment I knocked loudly on the door to let him know who it was. He answered in nothing but his boxer-shorts. "Yo Kiamari what's up?"
"Dante? I thought you said in an hour?" He said looking down the hall as if he expected someone to be following me
"It has been an hour bud"
"Has it?" He looked back up at me bleary eyed
"Damn right it has" I invited my self in and to my amazment... there was the woman with the apples from earlier sitting on Kiamari's couch...

Scheduling a next day flight was no big deal for someone like me. I managed to bump a couple out of first class, after all, my trip to Tokyo was far more important than putting off their honeymoon for one more day. I had resisted the temptation to thoroughly lecture Dante about his performance during the Interpol meeting, but him coming to my defense had persuaded me to put such an action off. At least for a little awhile.

After we'd boarded the plane and took our seats, I really didn't care to make conversation or pleasantries. Almost instantaneously to fastening myself in I grabbed my noise reduction headphones for TOTAL and COMPLETE silence. Closing my eyes, I shut everything and everyone out...going over all my plans silently in my mind.

As expected, traffic was murder...and it ended up taking quite a long time until we were finally at our destination. Dante's face couldn't look happier, despite the length of the trip, I suppose he'd enjoyed the time we'd lived in Tokyo...for him it was probably as though he were returning to a sort of 'home'.
