I sat at the breakfast table, idly sipping my tea as I read the morning paper. My maid Marie sliding delicately in and out of the room as she did her morning chores as usual. I wasn't very hungry this morning, yet still a large spread of "breakfast type" foods sit before me. Sighing I had Marie flip the TV onto the Morning News report. Grinning as I thought about the hot weather girl...
"...quite peculiar indeed because prior to this event, Takamura had no previous medical records that would indicate having such a condition." The Lady Newscaster was in the middle of explaining.
"That's right. Which only serves to make us question his irregular and untimely death." The Man Newscaster responded. "For those of you JUST tuning in...here's a replay of yesterday's horrifying events, taking place on the steps just outside the county court house."
A scene began to roll. Horrifying? What's so horrifying about a man being released?? I thought as I watched the whole thing unfold. Suddenly the dude completely lost it, grabbing the neck of the woman closest to him in a psychotic frenzy. I leaned forward a bit. Wondering what he was going to do! He was going to kill her...wasn't he? That's the horrific event! That bastard! Taking an innocent woman's life like that! I began thinking and took another sip of my tea...but just as I did blood began flowing everywhere!
"Pffffffttt!!!" Tea spurted from my mouth as I look on in horror. "Bloody HELL!" I exclaimed. "Marie! Look there! I'm not seeing things right?!"
Marie looked at the T.V. "No you are not Young Master. That man died yesterday...it was all over. People were even talking about it in the market."
My eyes were wide with shock. Such a strange death...and it was all over the news. What? Did they think he was KILLED somehow?
I flicked the T.V off as the newscasters came back on the screen. "I don't have time for this madness. I'll end up running late."
I went to the foyer of the house, got my bag and slipped on my shoes. Turning back, my three maids, and one butler stood bowing.
"Have a good day master." They chimed simultaneously.
"Alright, I'm off." I smiled and left. "That's right. Not going to have some bizarre broadcast ruin my day! There are too many pretty ladies at school COUNTING on me to brighten up their day!" I joked and got into the rear of the family car.
