16th Januray
As the bell rang for the end of school the storm clouds had gathered. Me and Cookie gathered our shoes and with our bright flouro coloured umbrekka's headed home. We were excused from gym today due to the weather so as we walked home we played a little game we had made up our first year at school. It wasn't really a game but more of a show of our energy and our twin connection.
Seeing as we had as much energy as we did, we decided to walk home through the park and then maybe go do a little late afternoon shopping. Even though we both thought it i allowed Cookie to call home to mum and ask if she needed anything from the shops while we were walking home. We had our arms entwined together a we walked the empty paths of the park
"Are you sure mother? It won't be any trouble, we'd be glad to get anything you need..... Ok... Ok, see you tonight."
"SEE YOU SOON." i yelled into the phone as Cookie began to hang up.
"Cookie?"
"Yes, Rice?"
"What did you think of that news report? you remember the one where the guy bled to death?"
"Disgusting."
"How could they let him go free sister?" i asked in english. I leaned my head against her shoulder as we walked and she rested her head on mine.
"I don't know sister, but he was found innocent. That is that."
"What if, their was a god out there that would punish people like him?"
"well, hopefully they would obey the laws like the rest of us."
"Do you know Kira?" i asked
"NO, who is she??" Cookie asked looking at me surprised, we had never found different friends. So the fact that i had mentioned someone she didn't now was extrodinary.
"Kira is not a she, he is a he."
"Ohhhh." she gave me an all knowing look. "This a cute boy at school... OH is he that boy who you were...."
I placed hand over her mouth as an evil smile began to crawl up on her face. She thought Kira was a boy at school... i laughed and she laughed with me. That was the end of our converasation and the start of the rain. i caught a sight of two girls sitting in the window of a cafe, one of the girls seemed to be interigating the other but then my attention turned back to runing home. We ran and squealed as our hair got staturated. When we got home our mother panicked over us and got us both warm towels and then she gave us both a hot cup of hebal tea and then as we sat underneath the Kotatsu. We watched as father came home, he put his breifcase on the kitchen counter, gave us both a kiss on the forehead and then turned on the television as mother finished up on dinner.
As always our dinner table had lots of conversation as we told of our days and the events that shaped them. I loved coming home for dinner and we were a close family. Through thick and thin we had always been together and we were always smiling. No matter what our family would hold together and we would be there for each other.
