It was a normal day. Mizawa had somehow managed to get a bunch of guys to stare at her in pure addolation...again....All I could do was laugh and pretend to be happy. What I really wanted was to hurry home and finish my homework.
When I finally got home, I worked my calculus on the kitchen table after dinner, and afterwords, I went and watched a bit of T.V. I wasn't into the who watching usless T.V. stations, so I simply flippped to the news and wated the reporter drone on about nothing. After a while I was tired and ready to sleep on the couch itself.
Kaori wouldn't hear of it though, and she rushed me off to my own bed. After some time living with her alone, I had come to the understanding that Kaori did everything she though of and that everything she thought of was either for the house or me. I had to atleast give her that.
As I lay in bed, I heard Kaori pouring a glass. I really do need to set her up with a date soon....I can't have her be alone when I go off to college.....or if....I were to leave the world before then.... I thought to myself.
The doctors had long since diagnosed that my lungs were deteriorating, and each year my astma got worse. It was only a matter of time even with the medicine.....
Let's see.... I flipped open my cell phone and speed-dialed Mizawa. She answered quickly as if she had been anticipating the call to action.
"Oh you silly Rem," Mizawa laughed. "Of course I'll help you."
After talking with Mizawa, I rolled over in bed and tried to get to sleep.
January 28,2023
I sat up in bed quickly my hand moving up to my speeding heart. Shock tears were running down my cheeks. I tried to catch my breath but my nerves were on edge.
"Just a dream....just a dream...." I said to myself.
Suddenly a knock hit my door.
"Come in," I said catching my breath.
Sis walked in looking somewhat suprised.
"Remu are you planning to sleep a school day away?" Kaori asked.
My eyes darted to the callender.
"Today's Saturday," I answered to my own relief.
"Hey are you ok?" Sis asked.
"I had another dream," I answered. "About Dad....and Mom......and...."
Kaori was sitting on my bed in an instant. Her hand was on my shoulder. I shook invoulentarily.
"Sis...."
