I was still in bed when I heard the phone ringing. Annoyed I glanced at the clock. " Who the hell calls THIS earliy in the morning " I thought to myself. I picked up the phone and answered.
" ... Yeah? "
" It's hello, or good morning... not UGH...Yeah. " It was my brother Auron. " Never-mind that. Dante. Clear up any Unfinished Business you may have here in Paris. I have a feeling we'll be leaving within a few days time. " I proped myself up on my arm.
" What? " I couldn't believe that's why he was calling me. " What the heck gives you... " I was cut off before I could finish
"KIRA." He said in a firm tone. I was speechless. " That's right. I'll be getting the details soon... just take care of business alright? I'll be in touch again soon with all the details on our departure. " He hung up on me as he usually did. I hung up the phone and sat up rubbing my eye's
" KIRA. Could it really be? Has KIRA really returned? " I pushed my hair out of my eyes and stood up stretching. I walked over to where my clothes lay, got dressed and grabbed the laptop sitting on my desk before heading out the door. " Wonder if I should call him... I have a feelign we'll end up back in Japan anyway... " The laptop belonged to a good friend of mine. He had been adopted by my best friends parents when he was young and we'd hit it off right away. " Jeeze how long has it been since we last talked? Wonder if he's come up with a name for himself yet " I chuckled at the thought as I mounted my bike. " What am I talking about it's Kiamari for god sakes of COURSE he hasn't... " I shook my head and sped off in the direction of down town Paris. If I was to finish up any unfinished buisness here then I'd have to get a move on it. Before Auron found out what sort of trouble I was in. " Certainly not lookin forward to him kicking my ass when he does find out... " I stopped my bike infront of a pawn shop. I walked in and the man behind the counter immediatly took off. " Heh... Always gotta do things the hard way... "I took off after him slipping through the door before he could close it on me. He dashed down the back hall way and out into the ally. I caught up to him in a matter of seconds and tripped him. " Why must you make thins so difficult for yourself Ty? "
" Look man I told you I didn't do it! " Ty was one of my leads on another case I was working.
" I know what you said but that doesn't mean it's true "
" Come on man the hell is wrong wit chu Dante "
" Look Ty.. Right now I'm a cop and I need you to TELL me WHERE they are so I can take of it BEFORE I leave "
" What? Chu leaving man? "
" Yes.. There's another case that needs my attention and I'll be leaving France in a few days... " Ty almost seemed excited when I told him that... " that's not cause for excitment Ty.. Be Glad I'm the one doing this if it were Auron he'd be all over your ass by now... "
" Yeah well I ain't tell chu nothin man I already told you everything I know " I made a face at him, took out my pocket knife and grabbed his hand " OK OK OK I'll Talk! "
" That's better... "
" If you're lookin for Mr. Tito you gotta go to the docks... He'll be makin a huge deal there in a few hours... " I got up and turned to leave " Yo Dante... " I turn back to Ty. He was laughing now
" ... What? "
" Fix chu hair man... It's all down n shit don't suit you... " I looked up at my hair. I couldn't stand it being down I looked to much like Auron with shorter hair so I swept it back how it usually was.
" Nuf with the swearing Ty I'm on duty " I walked off and made my way to the docks. If what Ty said really was true then Mr. Tito would be making a huge armed weapons and drug deal in a few hours and I needed to get there before Auron found me. Or there'd be hell to pay
