Paris, France ~ Dante's Undercover Job/The Phone Call Part 1
I waited at the docks for Mr. Tito. With any luck I'd catch him within the hour and be out of here before Auron found out what I was doing. He had always told me not to get mixed up in these kind of a heist with a major crime boss like Mr. Tito without proper backup and ontop of that I had gone undercover without informing Auron before hand. That alone could cost me my badge, and to make matters worse, if Mr. Titio found out I was a cop I'd be a dead man.
" Ok Dante just calm down if you act cool Mr. Tito will make the deal and I can bag him here and now before Auron finds out that I'm in deep " I tried to calm myself down before Mr. Tito arrived at the docks. A big black limo pulled into view and a large, heavy man stepped out with a jewled cane.
" Mr. Dan I do hope you will conduct yourself accordingly tonight " He scowled, giving me an intense glare as he did
" You got it Mr. T " I folded my hands infront of me and awaited the dealers. Finally at around 11:58pm another vehicle pulled into view, the dealers stepped out, and immediatly pointed their guns at me.
" Hey hey easy now " I said
" Thought we agreed not to bring Mr. Dan into this Tony... " One of the dealers, couldn't tell which one though they were all wearign masks
Tony huh? Guess that explains the Double T thing... Stupid if you ask me
" Mr. Dan is one of my, Watchers, if you will... He stays and that's final " Tony was very put off by the fact that they wanted me gone. That was good it ment he trusted me. To bad for him the dealers hunch was right, I was going to take him down and with any luck I'd take down the dealers to. I shook my leg alittle to make sure my gun was securely in the back of my pants. I had brought it with me this time for just incase protection.
" We had agreed that Mr. Dan was not going to participate in this "
" Mr. Dan stays... End of discussion. " The dealers hesitated for a moment, then they started unloading the goods.
Don't do anything stupid now Dante just keep your cool and things will go down fine I watched as Tony and the dealers worked things out, the shares, the cost of shipping it all to some buyer in the States, and finally the item that'd put them all away. It was a breifcase. Inside was an illegal drug that was said to cause fatal diseases like cancer if inhaled or injested. Obviously the buyer had some rediculous plan to kill off some important people but I wasn't about to let that happen. Not tonight anyways. Now just to wait for the case to exchange hadns and then...
" Sorry Mr. T.. "
" I hope you have a good explanation for this Mr. Dan "
" I do but " I took my gun out and threw my hair back " You won't like it " I exposed my badge " Names not really Dan Benson it's Dante Kazuma, and I'm taking you in "
" Danet Kazuma... The infamous twin of the famed detective Auron Kazuma. Certainly not what I was expecting at all. I'm almost insulted. "
" What d'ya mean by that? "
" Well surely someone like me would attract the attention of some one like Auron not his fanangled twin... "
" Chhr... What you don't think I'm capable of taking in some slick shithead like you? "
" Hardly. Someone like you, Mr. Dante, is no match for the likes of Tony Tito "
" Hey I'm every bit as capable as my brother now get down on your knees and put your hands behind your head! " I point my gun at Mr. Tito. Bad move. Tony pulled his own gun and shot my hand. " @#$%! " I jump and roll behind a crate. " Stupid move Dante STUPID! " I bite my hand and look for my gun. It's laying on the ground within the range of Tony's guns. " Shit.. Well I guess I'll just have to use plan b " I pull out a hand gernade, pull the pin and throw it blindly over the crate and then, the sound I was waiting for.
" AHHHH!!! "
" Haha BINGO! " A shot sent pieces of the wooden crate flying around my head. " Aie hey! Hot damn! " I run off alittle farther from where I was and skid behind something metal " Wooden crate.. Bad idea " I pull a few splinters from my shoulder and look for my gun again. " If I'm quick I can probably make it. All I gotta do is bring Tony in he doesn't have to be in good condition... " I make a mad dash for my gun, Tony gets out from behind the car and shoots at me, the bullet whizzs by my head leaving a small cut on my face, I reach my gun, roll across the ground and shoot. Tony's hit and falls to the ground. I get up and walk cautiously over to him. He doesn't seem to be moving. " God damn it " I nudge him with my foot. Nothing. " Way to go Dante yea killed the guy " I put my hands on my hips and look at the scene. The dealers were strown around on the ground unmoving, some were crawling away, I simply shot them in the leg and called the department. " Hey it's Dante. Yeah I'm at the docks... Sends someone to clean up the mess and DON'T mention this call to Auron. " I hang up and grab the breifcase containing the drug and walk off back to my hotel room. " Auron will want this though I'm not about to let those idiots take it in... " Finally reaching my suite I pull off my jacket and shirt and throw them on the ground before walking into the bathroom and take care of my injuries. Then I walk back to my bed and fell asleep almost as soon as I hit the matress

" Hey Kiamari you lazy bastard I know your home pick up!... " I wait for an answer. Nothing as was expected " Tch.. Alright then just listen I'm leaving france soon so if you want your laptop then call my cell when you get a chance... I have a feeling Auron and I will end up in Japan again at some point... Don't forget Kiamari and for god sakes don't mention anything about the heist infront of him or I'll have my badge revoked... "
" So Little Brother tell me? Do you often leave your door open so that any Joe off the street may enter? What, do you make them breakfast and tell them your life's stories as well? " Auron snarled making a beeline for the phone he was clinging to. I went stiff preventing him from getting his hands on the phone.
" Anyways I'm in s bit of trouble at the moment so I'll expect that call within a few days... Now get your lazy ass outa that bed and go outside I hear the weathers good in Japan right now, just forget about the number and go... " I continued, trying my best to ignore Auron. Finally he managed to grab the phone, slaming it down and ending my call.
" Auron...wow... what brings you here this early? I mean... aren't you usually having breakfast at this time?" I smiled turning around. " Really, it's a pleasure. Maybe you came to take your favorite brother out to breakfast for a change huh? I'd be-- "
Auron slammed his hand to the wall next to me, efficiently blocking me from walking away. Coming in real close... he was just before me and nearly had me pressed to the wall. I kept the smirk... hoping he either DIDN'T HEAR the call... or would instantly FORGET it's contents.
" Tell me Dante... to WHICH heist were you referring? Hmmm? " He growled in a low threatening tone. " You'll have your badge revoked? Nice for you to inform ME of this... after all... I'm the ONLY thing that has kept you from that consequence! Did you not consider informing me at all?! Or am I to once again get a surprise and be forced to use ALL my persuasive charm in unison?! "
I lost the smirk and closed my eyes. " Look... Auron... "
He pulled away and instinctively started rubbing his index finger on his temple as he turned away and began pacing. " Enough. We will speak of this later... frankly I do NOT have the time for this... " He stopped me. " I came to inform you... dear brother... that I am summoned to Lyon for the meeting of INTERPOL. I am to receive the offer to take on the KIRA case... I just thought I would stop by and remind you of the importance behind this. "
" I do know... believe me I- "
" I've heard you deduced our return to Japan already. After all, that WAS the last location of which KIRA was known to reign supreme. Therefore...I believe we shall make Tokyo our base of operation. " He continued. " At least until we are absolutely sure this KIRA is not there. Even if he isn't... Tokyo is still a large and very connected city... it's a prime location for an investigation of this type. "
" I agree... but Auron- "
" Really now... I don't have the time. Now that I've said what I wished to... I'm off. Dante... finish your business as quietly as you're able... I don't even care WHAT it entails... as long as you aren't caught. Do something to threaten this investigation however... and I'll make it hard for others to tell we are related... are we clear? " As he stated the last part... he cast me a glare of fierce magnitude. Without any further "talk" he exited the room, but stopped in the doorway when he heard the phone ring. I didn't answer and it went to the answering machine.
" Hey Dante It's SK, Yeah I Found A Name For Myself... And Your Not Aloud To Give Me Hell For Thinking Of Such A Simple Name... Anyways I Hope To Hear From You When You Get Back To Japan And My Laptop Better Be In Good Condition Or I'll Have Your Head You Got That? Hope You Haven't Gotten Yourself Into To Much Trouble, With Auron I Mean And Don't Worry I Won't Mention The Heist... "
He didn't turn to look at me. " Remember Dante... " He spoke in a harsh tone and then he walked away. I sat there and thought for a moment then I quickly threw my shirt and coat on and chased after Auron
" Auron! Hey wait a minute you sorry, abusive excuse for a brother! "
