I decided to write this as V's is to mind-blocked to think :P
I'ma gonna guess that V's and Vixy guessed exactly what was going to happen in this chapter because of the title >__< I couldn't think either and thought hey, why not, no better time for it. And I have no idea what the argument is about.

Chapter 10; Watermelon
The three of them walked onwards in silence. Well except for Valentina and her humming of a song that she had made up on the spot. Valentina glanced at Whitahkay wondering why he was so quiet. Making up her mind she jumped in front of him walking backwards.
“Why are you so quiet?” Valentina asked giving him an intense glare.
“Ah, I dunno” Whitahkay responded, obviously lying
“Don’t give me that” She frowned, wondering how he could resist telling the truth. Valentina had a knack of getting people to spill everything. The only person who had been able to resist her charms before had been her father, and that was only because he hated her so much. Whitahkay ignored her and kept walking.
“Whitahkay. Don’t ignore me” Valentina said, attempting to stamp her foot and keep moving backwards at the same time. “Stop it.” Whitahkay smiled slightly at how childishly she was behaving.
“Don’t laugh at me!” Valentina yelled, seeing Whitahkay’s smile. She jumped up and down, moving backwards to stop Whitahkay walking over her. Valentina didn’t see the log coming and fell backwards over it onto the ground. Whitahkay burst out laughing, crumpling to the floor as his legs buckled beneath him. Valentina felt slightly uncomfortable at falling over in front of someone, then angry that Whitahkay had laughed then realised she was being stupid as she would have laughed were their positions reversed. She joined in his laughter.
Kit stood their, composed and not showing emotion and usual. Though she did look slightly amused. As Valentina and Whitahkay regained their ability to control their laughed they picked themselves up and started to walk again. This time they did walk in silence, except for the occasional laughter from Valentina as she remembered falling over.
As night began to fall, the three demons set up camp. Valentina fell down exhausted from all the walking they did today.
“So do you know anything about this demon-dude-guy-thingy Kit?” she asked
“Demon-dude-guy-thingy?” She questioned
“Yeah, you know that person that we are after. The one that actually managed to defeat you” Valentina watched her amused as Kit seemed slightly embarrassed and angry that someone had gotten the better of her.
“Why are you so quiet now anyway?” Valentina suddenly asked Whitahkay, poking him in the shoulder.
“It’s nothing” Whitahkay said, rubbing his wrist
“Don’t you dare start with that again!”
“Don’t worry about it”
“I will worry about it and why do you keep rubbing your demon mark?” Valentina asked, subconsciously rubbing her own.
“Stop being nosy!”
“I can’t! It’s my nature! Don’t forget that I am Leopard Demon and they are cats. Cats are curious.”
“Curiosity killed the cat”
“Are you threatening me?”
“No”
“Sounded like it”
“It was a warning! It could get you in trouble”
“Whatever” Valentina sighed, getting up and doing the cat stretch. “I’m hungry, where’s the food” She asked Kit.
“Over there” She answered, pointing. Valentina headed over to the food bag, reaching in it and grasped the first thing that she found. A watermelon. Perfect. Watermelons were one of Valentina’s favourite foods. As she headed back she found Kit and Whitahkay in the middle of yet another argument.
“Like you would have!” Kit yelled at him, completely throwing away her usual rigid control over her emotions.
“Yeah, I would!” Whitahkay yelled back
“OI! Stop arguing!” Valentina yelled at them both, throwing the watermelon in their direction.
“You could not have done a better job then I did!” Kit said, completely ignoring Valentina. She glared at Kit, taking out her dagger just as Whitahkay picked up the watermelon that she had thrown. Aiming the dagger carefully she threw it. It landed in the middle of the watermelon, tearing it from Whitahkay’s grasp. With a thud it landed embedded in a tree. Valentina took out her whip. With a crack it curled around a branch. Valentina swung up, let go of the whip mid air, did a little twirl mid-air and landed next to the watermelon. She grew her claws, letting them sprout from where her fingernails usually sat. She glared at them both, before slicing easily through the watermelon. It fell in pieces. Valentina caught one of them staring accusingly at Kit and Whitahkay. She he held up the piece of Watermelon and bit into it. Kit and Whitahkay stared at her. This was unusual, even for her.
“You could have hit my hand” Whitahkay said to her accusingly.
“With all the experience I have? Yeah right!” Valentina said attempting to punch him in the shoulder.
“You’ll have to be quicker then that” He said catching her hand
“Like this?” She said innocently, dropping to the floor and sweeping her leg in a wide arc. She caught Whitahkay and he tumbled to the floor. He gave her the dagger look. Valentina responded by giving him her best smile, the one that usually had people falling all over her if they weren’t against demons.
