Not looking forward to the monetary result of what the mechanic says tomorrow. I've got over 120,000 miles on Onigiri now, so the timing belt needs replacing. But the big question is 'What's wrong with the electrical system?' I have no dashboard lights. Considering I do half my driving at night, that is a big problem. I hope they can figure out what is wrong with the thing.
I'll keep you posted.
Yeah. I'm here. Been a little lazy lately, but that's nothing new. Work is the same as ever, just weirder.
I did order a couple art books off Beans & Noodles website last night. Can't wait for them to show up. Actually, they're coming from a used bookseller. Both books plus shipping ended up being less than they each cost new. I'm pretty proud of myself for that one!
Otherwise, life hasn't been very exciting for me. No new artwork has actually escaped from my pencils lately, although I have tried and ended up doing a lot of erasing. Ooh...anti-drawing.

Well, it's been a pretty intense few days at work. More than just the attempted drive-thru! I'd tell you more about it, but I'm waiting for things to settle down first.
But, here's pictures of what happened Saturday night.

Pretty crazy stuff.
Work last night was pretty dull and annoying for the most part. I didn't feel all the greatest and was getting incredibly annoyed by the drunk wedding reception people... well, that was until 10:15 when a guest called down and let my coworker know that someone had driven their car into the west side of the building.
Yeah. We had a drunk guest drive her pickup into the west side of the building. My coworker went to investigate and she called up to have me call 911 about it. I will admit that I was stifling giggles when I called 911. I was also dying to go back to check out what happened. I did eventually get to go back and took my camera so I could take some pictures. It was pretty intense. No one was hurt, but the building did take some fairly interesting damage. She hit right by a window, so there's broken glass involved as well.
The guest insisted she didn't do it. Someone else jumped into the pickup and drove it into the building after she parked it. At one point she blamed me, two of my coworkers and the cop that was there. The cop just looked at her and said, "She's working, she's working, she's working, and I'm working. I'm pretty sure it wasn't any of us." I really had to stifle the laughter then.
I was standing in a position where I could hear the radio the cop had on him. I could just hear the dispatch say "Disturbance at the R****** Inn, 1401 Z***** Drive" and something about a fight. One of my coworkers also heard that and was "Oh, you've got to be fscking kidding me!" I started giggling again. Well, the three of us made our way back to the front of the building and the cop made his away around to the front via his squad car. My two coworkers and I were cautiously going through the halls. One was, "I don't want to go up there. I don't want to get hit." The other was "I'm sure we can take them." I said, "I'm armed with this tape dispenser. It's got some weight to it." We made it to the front and didn't see any fight where our other coworker had said the fight was. We did hear arguing over by Door A, so we figure that was what the problem was.
After that I put the tape back where it belongs, clocked out and went home.
Like I said, I do have pictures of the damage, but I'm going to wait to post them until after work tomorrow. It's going to be an interesting day, to say the least. I don't know if I'll get done what was planned for me tomorrow or not...
