Laters!
Well, it's Friday and a day off to boot! I didn't ask for it, it just got scheduled that way. It's about 1:30 in the afternoon and I'm goofing online now because later I'll be running around with my brother. We're probably going to go to a movie! Haven't been to one since Indiana Jones came out. This month has been pretty busy. So days off are savored.
It's really quiet in here today. Both cats are sleeping. So is my brother.
I just discovered that I really need to cut my fingernails....

Additional: Just added another chapter in the Toshokan (finally!) and another poem over on CrazyFoxMoon.
At last! A day off!!!!
Yep. Tuesday was a day off. I did exactly what I planned to do. I decided that I was going to go to Le Mars to renew the plates on my car and have an ice cream cone for lunch. Le Mars is the Ice Cream Capital of the World! It's been tradition for me to hit the ice cream parlor when I go up there. The waffle cones are big... and it seems that once it's full of ice cream it's the size of one's head. It was wonderful. Then... I bought a Blue Bunny keychain before heading off to Wally-world. I found a webcam there, but I think the installation of the driver made the taskbar a bit wacko. I may uninstall and reinstall it and see if that corrects the taskbar issue.
All in all I think I had a pretty decent day. Now I'm happily watching Doctor Who on tape. Still a favorite show of mine... has been since the mid 80s.

I am about ready to call it a night here. It's not quite 2 a.m. and I ache. My shoulders are just killing me. They've been sore all night since the middle of my shift at work. For a Sunday, work was very busy. I think I had 26 check ins in 45 minutes. It sucked. Sundays aren't supposed to be that busy. Just one more day of work and then I have a day off. I am so sick of working 6 or 7 days in a row without a day off. Oh, heck. Who am I kidding? I am so sick of that place.

It's just been incredibly busy at work again. With all the flooding in eastern Iowa, trains are being diverted to the western side of the state. That means we're getting lots more railroaders through than usual. Now add on top of that a Sunday School Convention and "Awesome Biker Nights" this weekend... If I survive with most of my sanity intact, I'll be flippin' amazed.
"Awesome Biker Nights" used to be called "Awesome Harley Nights"... but Harley Davidson told them to stop using their name. Yeah... motorcycles. Lots of them. Nowhere near what attends the Sturgis Rally, but still. Sheesh....
Well, gotta go start thinking about getting ready for work. I wish I didn't have to...
