Well, I do apologize for not being very forthcoming with posts this week. It's been a pretty weird week. And I'm about to go into a weekend that is sure to drive me up a wall quite quickly. I'll try to remember what all happened this week.
Sunday: worked. Was bored out of my skull for most of the night. I think I posted about that on Sunday night.
Monday: worked. Was pretty busy. I had a really freaky experience on the way home after work though. I was on the receiving end of a psycho-lady's road rage. I was driving along the one highway that leads into my hometown. When I turned onto the highway and pulled out of the town at the intersection, I was on the road by myself. I glanced at the rearview mirror and saw some headlights way behind me. I had my cruise control set at 55, which is what the highway is posted. Suddenly the headlights were right behind me! These were those really bright blue lights that everyone seems to have now, and were filling all my mirrors with annoying bright light. I slowed down to get the person to pass me. She wouldn't!!!! There was nobody coming at us and she just stayed behind me. I finally pulled over to let her go by. As she went by, I forgot to turn off my own brights. That's when she snapped. She pulled over so I ended up going around her. Then she pulled up right behind me, even closer than she had been before, and had her brights on. I pulled over again. She flew by me, honking the whole time. Then she turned around up ahead and came at me with her brights on. She turned around behind me and tailgated all the way into my home town. I was really freaked out by this point as she kept right on my tail. I was hoping like mad that the town cop was on Main Street. Fortunately, he was. I flashed my lights at him and pulled into the center parking area. The psycho-lady pulled up right behind me. The cop did a u-turn and pulled up behind her. She got out of her car and was about to come and do who knows what to me, but the cop stopped her and talked to her for a while. She was waving her arms around while talking to him, pointing at me, pointing towards the highway. Eventually the cop came up to me and got my side of the story. I told him what happened and that I had forgotten to turn off my brights the first time she passed me. I also told him I was very happy to see him because I didn't want her to follow me home. He said I could go home and he'd talk to her some more. Now, usually, I leave my car out in front of the house, but I didn't that night. I put it in the garage, because I know she saw which way I turned and I still don't want her to know where I live. I was really scared by the whole experience.
Tuesday: day off. Did laundry. Stayed in the house for most of the day. Finally left the house late in the afternoon when my brother wanted to walk downtown.
Wednesday: worked. Was pretty busy again. Admittedly, I was a little scared of driving home that night. Heck, I was a little scared of driving to work! I did stop at the grocery store on the way home so I killed some time. Fortunately, I didn't encounter the psycho-lady again. I hope I never do.
Thursday: day off. Went to SUX to do a little shopping. That was a big bust. My nephew is getting married the end of this month and I was looking for something to wear to the wedding. I found a top that would go with a skirt that I have, but I took a picture of myself wearing it with the skirt and decided it is definitely not going to work. I guess I gotta go back to Old Navy & take the top back. I don't know what to do now. I hate clothes shopping. I think I'm probably a perfect candidate for that What Not to Wear show.... *sigh*
Well, that's what my week has been like so far. Here's what's in store for me... Friday, Saturday, Sunday: Work. With the little psycho, of course, because I'm the only one that has to work with the idiot! Arrrgh. It's over twelve hours before I have to go to work and already I'm getting into a bad mood because of it. I really need a new job.
So... I need to wander off and do some other stuff online here. Sorry for being so wordy!!!
Laters!
...charcoal burnin' everywhere.
All right, now that I've channeled the Monkees, I will move on with things.
Yep, it's Sunday. I'm at work after a pretty low key weekend. I worked until about 5:30 pm on Friday and enjoyed my night off. I got to see my favorite shows as they were broadcast! Yay! Saturday was a day off completely and I had tickets to the Sioux City Bandits/Omaha Beef football game. The game was pretty fun, but we ended up leaving at the end of the 3rd quarter. It was so noisy in the arena that we were getting headaches. The Bandits were behind 37 to 27 at the time. The paper said the final score was Beef 53 Bandits 47. Next time we go to a game here in SUX, we're going to see about sitting on the sidelines and bring along earplugs. I've been to a few games down in Omaha and the noise level was nowhere near what it was last night. The hockey games aren't even that loud!
Well, yesterday I started up a YouTube page. Scary!!! Here's the link: Clicky!
I don't know how much of my own stuff will be posted there, but there's one video of mine up so far. After I set it up, I spent a lot of time goofing off and searching for funny Doctor Who videos.
That's about it for me for now. I have about 7 hours of work left tonight and boredom is setting in already. Yay.
Laters!
That's how long I went without a haircut. Yes, I hadn't had a haircut since January 2007! It finally got to me. I had to get it cut.
Here's before & after pictures of the back of my head. Not quite enough to donate to Locks of Love.
Well, off to bed for me. I have to get my keester out of bed too damn early for work tomorrow.
Yeah. The weather is being nice again. I'm stuck inside at work and can only stare at it through the windows. *sigh* Life is so unfair sometimes, isn't it? However, tomorrow is supposed to be even nicer, so I am definitely going to go out and enjoy it. I have the day off!!!
Well, my weekend was fairly busy at work again. We had a baseball team and a few softball teams in the motel. Oh yay. The baseball team wasn't so bad. They were from a college and had to behave themselves pretty much. The softball teams were the ones that were all above drinking age, so they were drunk and rowdy. I'm glad they're gone now.
Yesterday before work, my brother & I went to see Iron Man. It kicks arse!!!! I want to go to it again. I may even do that tomorrow. *insert evil giggle here* I want to go to SUX anyways, so why not? Bwahahahaha!!!!!!!
That's about it. I think I'll find something else to do now. Only 6 hours and 55 minutes until I get to go home.
