Life has not been treating me well.
Today is Monday... and the Monday after a weekend of the Full Moon.
I really hate today. I want to scream, but am at work and better not.
I wanna go home and watch Doctor Who!!!
I broke my glasses the other night. Now I get to run around with my glasses not sitting properly on my face until I can get new ones. All because my frame has been discontinued! Arrrgh!
I think I'll go throw things for a while.
Yes. I'm still alive. Life is pretty much MEH lately. I've been back from vacation for a week now and really am wishing I was still on it.
Vacation was a lot of fun. I got to see the Memorial Day Parade in Gettysburg, PA. It was really good. I also got to go to Boyd's Bear Country twice. *insert insane running around here* If you can't tell, I love Boyd's Bears. I got one named Mason, Jr. this time. He's a Union soldier from the Civil War. I did very good and resisted getting Dixon, Jr. to go with him. But I am seriously considering emailing my parents to have them go get one for me before they come back from out there.
Work has been pretty sucky since I got back. It was sucky before I left, so that's definitely nothing new.
It's now 1:30 in the morning. I had started up the laptop just to look up something on IMDB.com and ended up here... I should probably go to bed or something.
Well...I'm actually finishing up the third day. Here's a quick-ish summary of the past few days.
Friday: work was hell. Replacement was late. Grrr.
Saturday: after three hours of sleep, eventually made it to Omaha to airport to start the flying part. Had three hours between flights in Minneapolis, so enjoyed a nice stroll around the exclusive mall that is the Minneapolis airport. Had some expensive Beef Lo Mein, but it was worth it! Very good stuff. Surprising for an airport vendor. Got into Baltimore 10:30 pm local time.
Sunday: slept in. Had a quick lunch and then went to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes in Emmitsburg, MD. I'm not Catholic, nor am I overtly religious, but this is a very inspiring, beautiful place. I got some pictures and will be posting them in deviantArt eventually. After that, we went up to Boyd's Bear Country in Gettysburg PA. I got a Civil War soldier bear named Mason, Jr. He's a Union soldier.
Monday: Pretty quiet morning & quick lunch before heading up to Gettysburg again. This time for the Memorial Day parade. It was a great parade. Lots of really neat guys in uniform and so on. I didn't get a good picture of the guy that was dressed up as Abraham Lincoln, though. Got a picture of his guards with their sabres. Really cool. Then we went to Bear Country again. I did a very very VERY good job of resisting getting Dixon, Jr. to with Mason. I still want him, though.
So now I'm just chillaxing in my room. Got no TV in here, so it's fairly quiet. Mom & Dad have tomorrow off, too, and we're going to either Manassas or Antietam. I can't remember which right now. I am kinda tired.
So... until next time, Laters!
Oh... I gotta get through work tonight and then I'm free for a week. Yay!!!! Off to Maryland again. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and I will get to Gettysburg on Monday for the parade. I am so pumped for that parade.
Well... I will have my laptop with me, so I will try to pop in now & then to let you all know what's going on.
Laters!
