I sighed and laid on my side and waited for Nova to come back. She told me she was just going on a little walk to the store and would be home soon.
Getting up I went over to my bed and nudged the cushion off and picked up a rock in my mouth and set it on the floor. Narrowing my yellow eyes the rock started to twitch slightly. I mewed happily and tried to move it around but all I could make it do was twitch back and forth.
I got up frustrated. You would think after practicing for 3 years I would be able to at least move it around so I could chase it! Shaking my head I went over to the small rock that had a tint of green to it. I slowly ran my paw over it never getting over how smooth it was.
Purring happily I rested my head on its cold surface. My ears pricked as I heard keys in the door and I quickly picked up the rock and put it back under my bed.
Running towards the door to greet Nova I skidded to a halt and saw she had two other cats. One of them had a white pelt with broken up splotches of orange on her back well the other one was also had a white pelt but a blue-ish colored butterfly on her neck.
Narrowing my eyes I looked at them. Why did Nova bring those two here? Nova noticed me and smiled. "Kuro come here." She called softly. I took a steep back unsure about them. "Come on its fine. I found both on them in an alley and they would have froze if I hadn't found them." She said.
I stiffened. Something was odd about both of them. The one with the ginger patches seemed to be having a fever but she looked comfortable enough. Nova shook her head and put both of them down and went into the kitchen. Finally I got.
"Your like me..." I meowed wide eyed and panicked letting out a screech and running to my bed and grabbing my green rock and running of into Nova's room and hid under her bed.

A human walked into the narrow opening of the alley space. I was laying in thw dark corner at the end of the alley.
I could hear the soft thudher boots made as she walked towards us, her boots sinking into the snow. She got closer to me and Nanao. The snow was thinner by us. My body got hotter and the snow was melting rapidly. She picked me up and I unsheathed my claws instinctively.
"You look like you caught a fever...." the girl looked at me. "Well, I can't leave you here!" She picked up Nanao and started taking us somewhere."I'm Nova" she smiled a bit.
