Hello. My name is Konan. I would greatly appreciate it if you didn't come into my room without permission. But since you're already here. *Turns away* I'm here to help Pein, nothing more. *Disappears in a cloud of paper flowers*
Hello. My name is Konan. I would greatly appreciate it if you didn't come into my room without permission. But since you're already here. *Turns away* I'm here to help Pein, nothing more. *Disappears in a cloud of paper flowers*
When I woke up this morning, my throat and lungs weren't hurting anymore. But my arm was still broken, figured that out when I tried to stand up with that as my supporting arm. Ending up back on the floor.
Using my other arm, I lifted off of the floor, and exited the small hut. It was about twilight at that point, and the rained had stopped.
With one hand, I created a paper flower, and blew it to the wind, petals scattering every and knowing where it was going to end up. Then, it was time to return. I first started walking, holding my arm gingerly, and then I started running, following the petals home.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nagato was currently in his office in Ame, working on invading Konoha as usual. I approached the building, noticing that that's where the petals led me... not back to the hideout... Is this what I think home is? I slowed my run to a complete stop as I saw the paper fly into his open window. Does he know that I left the infirmary? I hope not... I looked up at his open window, and then he leaned out over the balcony, a handful of paper petals in his hand.
I felt his eyes grow wide, but I started running again and barely heard someone say, "Konan...?!"
I didn't know where I was going... I wasn't following the petals at this point... I just... I just turned and... I ran...
Before I knew it, I was back to the hut... Why do I always keep coming back here? What does my mind want?! And... why did I run...? It's Nagato... before I knew it, it started raining again... damn... I quickly got back in the hut, fixing any leakage... and waited out the storm...
It had started to rain... Fuckin' great... I was already sick... but I pushed on. I was going to get there, it couldn't be too far away now...
In my weakened state, it took me an entire day to get to a place that normally would only take me minutes.
But, I arrived. It was like a flash from the past... the rain, the area... it was just the same... I fell to my knees, about ready to cry, I couldn't take it... I just... I punched the ground...
I was at our old training grounds, and I could see Yahiko running around, Nagato laughing quietly, Chibi barking, and Jiraiya lecturing. My fist slammed into the ground again. "Dammit... I hate this!" I cried.
Blood seeping from my mouth, it was time to rest. I looked into the nearby woods, and found a nearly destroyed little hut. Quickly I repaired it, I wasn't going to let it wither away, one of the only things still around from my childhood, the hut we all used to stay in before we met Jiraiya.
I slipped into it, looking around, some of our little knick-knacks still lying around. My lips twisted at the corners in a smile, something I hadn't done it quite some time.
I decided that I would return to the hideout in a few days... I wanted to soak up the memories...
I landed heavily on the ground, probably breaking a few bones. But I didn't care, I needed to go somewhere. And either Nagato followed me, or stayed behind... I didn't care.
Forcing myself to my feet... I figured out that my right arm was broken... "Fuck." I muttered and ran, panting, towards the only thing on my mind.
As I ran, I felt the blood pool in my mouth... damn! I've only ran a few miles... and I'm already at my limit?! I saw a very welcoming tree... and leaned against it. Slowly sinking to the ground, and slowly sleeping into slumber... starting that same damn dream again...
'What a headache...'
Konan was staggering back to her chambers, it had been a long day... from being randomly kissed by some girl, to being blackmailed into kissing Nagato... her face turned a pinkish hue at the memory.
"What's wrong Konan-sama?" Tobi said out of no where.
'Oh no... not Tobi...' "I have a bit of a headache..."
Tobi started poking Konan, and even gave her a hug. Though she was tired, she had enough strength to kick him off. "No, remember what I said about hugging?"
"I'm sorry Konan-sama..." Tobi sulked.
Konan sighed, and gave him a lollipop, Tobi shrieked in excitement and skipped down the hall merrily to pray on his next victim.
Barely able to stand anymore, she quickly opened her door and fell upon her bed. Then she realized, that there was someone else in there with her... she turned to look, it was Puppet. "What do you want Puppet..." She said weakly...
"Can I stay here for awhile?" She said, not removing hr gaze from whatever she was staring at.
Not in the mood to argue, Konan gave in... "Fine fine... but you're sleeping on the floor."
Puppet nodded, with a certain alertness that frightened her.
"I'm not going to sleep though, I'll just stay..."
Konan slowly drifted off into slumber... knowing quite well if Puppet had the right mind to, she could kill her. But she was far to tired to even protect herself.
"Goodnight Konan." Puppet said... and her voice spoke in Konan's mind throughout her slumber.
