“Well, it’s been fun and all. But I have to be going,” I waved to the Anarden princess. A ball? Not my style. I was just about to walk out of the palace doors when a few guards blocked my way. I contemplated kicking their asses, but decided against it.

I turned back around angrily to see Zane smirking at me, “I on the other hand have no reason to be here. So I’ll be taking my leave.”

An idea shot in my head and I smirked back at him. “Fine. I’ll go to your ball,” I told Rina as I walked back towards them. “But he has to be my date,” I grabbed onto Zane’s arm and winked up at him.
