This is a personal blog, where I'll post... well, what I want.
I made a post about this in my latest weekly update, but I wanted to create a post specifically about this.
I've been making wallpapers... but for some reason, I'm having trouble decided whether they're good and should be posted or crap and should be thrown out. Things point to them being good, but... I'm still not sure. What do you think?
Uggghh *head-desks* I told you guys I'd give an update but... but... so much time that I need to waste ;n;
First off RANDOM COOL THING:
So, camping? Camping was GREAT. Hiking, card games, CAKE, and awkward sunburns. About as awesome as it gets. It was fun having Zoe there~ We got to spent almost 24-7 with each other! Not that we weren't used to it from band trips.
Holy cow, I've been like a factory, putting out so many wallpapers at onec >.< I think I've reached a sort of art block, though. I've made a couple wallpapers (one of the Elric brothers and one of Shin from Amnesia), but I can't decide whether they're fine and I can post them or terrible and I should burn. Wait, burning them would ruin my laptop.... delete them, then.
I've been more conscientious than usual lately. Exercise AND doing homework? What am I, striving for college and a boyfriend or something? ...Oh... yeah... right...
Speaking of Ninja, things are going pretty good- nah, I take that back. This are going really good. We've become better friends, having multiple conversations on a regular basis and such. Nothing in regards to romanticism, but as I've said in the past - best friends first, then significant others.
On a more emotional note, I've been struggling with something I hardly ever struggle with - self esteem. It's not like I'm going around declaring myself a worthless being, but for the past month or two I've noticed that my stomach has done something it normally does over winter - grow larger. Maybe that's why the exercise - to get rid of my winter flub. Not that anyone calls me fat - the only declaration of that I've ever gotten came from a Heath textbook that put me in the range of "overweight". Like I said, it's not usually like me - but I suppose it could be partially because Ninja is a freakin' petite thing (compared to most guys, at least) and I've been thinking about what others will think supposing we do become significant others. Half the time I wonder why he acts like he might like me back at all. This poet puts my emotions better into words (warning, swears):
.....ON A POSITIVE NOTE I got my grades up to a lot more than I thought they'd be. I think I got around a B average - a lot better than some of my past report cards. Not to mention I got my ACT score back - 30! I equaled or beat all my friends on my first try .3. I'm taking it a second time next Saturday - wish me luck!
I got asked to prom by a friend (we'll call him Italy, yes, as in from Hetalia). I went with him last year, too, and he's sweet and all, but he's not the type of guy I want.
I know I owe you guys my review of xxxHolic Kei, too, and don't worry... I'll make it... eventually... hopefully tomorrow...
SO ANYWHO GOODBYE
Yeah, I know I haven't gotten an update or review up like I said I would. I've been more busy than expected. It'll probably be up tomorrow or Saturday, but no promises.
As compensation, here's the Harry Potter characters singing "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."
Also, reminder, ONE MORE MONTH FOR LILIUM. *needs someone to submit at least one entry ;n;*
"She the purest beauty
but not the common kind
She had a way about her
That made you feel alive
and for a moment
you made the world stand still"
~We Owned the Night, Lady Antebellum
^Exactly how I feel about Saturday night (but change the "she's" to "he's") minus the fact this is a one-night-stand song.
I'll separate the date into three parts to clear my thoughts up a bit.
Part One:
Pretty good! He seemed to have fun, and he enjoyed the Pocky I bought as a snack. He didn't eat whole lot, but he doesn't eat much, period.
I discovered some interesting similarities between us, such as the fact we both know and have seen The Andy Griffith Show (high fives to anyone else who have seen this!) I already knew he was incredibly good at Super Smash Bros., but I didn't know he'd be so good at virtually every character he decided to be.
We used fabric paint on shirts. His was amazing, but that's no surprise. I've seen his doodles, those things look like freakin' da Vinci.
Part Two:
This was probably the worst of the three. It was still pretty good, but when we started playing Mau and such, you can tell we traveled into unfamiliar realms for him. But, that was temporary, we soon went back to Super Smash Bros.
Part Three:
This was great. The only uncomfortable part was the twenty minutes we were actually at the dance. Afterwards we went outside (where he pointed out various stars, planets, and constellations, oddly romantic...)
We then played Ninja Destruction, where he lived up to his nickname, beating us all every time by a long shot. Then Apples to Apples (he won... of course), and then more Super Smash Bros.
My absolute favorite part, though, was driving him home... we were squished next to each other in the backseat (three people in the back), and I can't remember why, but he started singing a song in Japanese that he had learned when he was in kindergarten (when he lived in Japan). It was so sweet/cute and... GAH
So anyway, that's the date. Not much else going on... I didn't do as well on the solo as I thought I did (not going on to State), but I did better on the ACT than I thought, so it evens out.
Other than that...
I won't be on tomorrow through next Tuesday! I'll be camping~ IF YOU WANT TO GET A MESSAGE TO ME SOON, DO IT NOW.
Welp... see you soon!
So, you know the latest wallpaper challenge, right here? So, yeah, I wanna do it. But I need a buddy. Just comment below if you're willing to join me and we'll see what we want to do.
