::Day Two::
Want to know a secret? Come closer and I'll tell you.
I dislike the battle of what art media is better. Traditional or Digital. To me what does it matter.
In the corner of traditional you have those who go on about how it’s unfair to those who cannot afford the technology to draw like that, or how it’s cheating or easier. Those who love digital or defend it at least say how in many ways traditional costs way more because unlike digital you have to keep buying supplies. There is talk about how people draw is changing like it’s been changing for many years.
It goes on and on like that. Contests here restrict people to either using traditional or digital; which I don't have an issue with. It’s more of a challenge that way if you ask me. But there is no reason to go on about how people who use traditional put more effort and time into their art. Well they do put effort and time into their art. But can you really say pieces like this are effortless? Thrown together in mere minutes? How about this one? They are of different media and perhaps different themes and styles but are they not equally great?
What does it matter your media anymore? Some people might take a simple liking to painting or SAI painting but really if it’s amazing art that an artist poured their time and emotion into who cares how they made it? They are brilliant pieces of art. People say that Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci are amazing artist and both these pieces, one from da Vinci and one from Michelangelo are both amazing art. Different media.
So what’s stopping us now from just getting over this huge gap and just loving art how its presented to us?
