Pitch black. The darkness filled the halls of Las Noches as the Sexta Espada made his way through the halls of his domain. Though he has completed a mission given to him, he was battling his inner demons as he entered his room aggravated, rubbing back of his head. Of course, just for a second he had forgotten he had been in charge of human girl, Orihime Inoue who was staying in his room. His eyes met hers which glimmered with a for sure sign of hope but yet filled with overwhelming sadness.
Grimmjow stopped a few feet in front of her and placed his hands within his pockets, he snarled, “What do you got some kind of freakin' problem?”
Putting on the bravest face she could muster, she spoke. “Yes I do! Why does Aizen have me here again? Why can't...” She sighed lowering her head.
Irritated with the so-called ‘babbling’ he snapped at her. “Just shut up and stop complaining already. It's not like I wanted you here, I just had to follow orders. Damn it! You are such a pain in the ass.” He told her as he walked past her.
However, her eyes kept on him. “It doesn’t make sense that he would bring me back here.” Questions began to run vigorously through her mind. “Is this all just another plan of his to draw Kurosaki-san here again?”
Grimmjow stopped and turned to her. “Good for you, figured it out so quickly. Hope you didn't hurt yourself coming up with that answer.”
Orihime looked away from the blue haired Espada. “Why do you follow such a tyrant as Aizen? He is only going to lead you to your death.”
At this point Grimmjow could see that Orihime was getting anxious as she started to fidget with her hands, as she was a mechanic. For as long as he kept his eye on her, he already knew her mannerisms and this was one of them.
“Tch that's where you got it wrong; I could give a rat’s ass about the bastard. What matters most to me is getting stronger. Your little Shinegami friend is the perfect example.” The tone of voice coming from Grimmjow was direct but the excitement could be seen in his devilish smile that lit his face. “He'll die by my claws eventually. He probably the most worthy opponent I have faced in a long time.” Yes, his eyes were gleaming with blood lust.
Orihime Inoue, as she was known by her human friends, turned quickly looking at Grimmjow and raised her voice, “Kurosaki-san will never die by you. It will be you that will die by him.”
But to her surprise, mere centimeters from her face claws had slammed into the wall next cutting a few strands of hair. Slowly blood ran down her right cheek as Grimmjow leaned over her looking down at her. Orihime cowered like a trapped animal in a corner who appeared to meet its end as the predator approached its prey. Her breaths grew weak and quick as the fear grew in her eyes. Then the slight touch of Grimmjow’s left hand pulling her chin to face his cold blue eyes gave her chills down her back. To her, it was looking into the ocean, deep and no end to the madness.
He was stern faced as he replied, “I wouldn't be so sure about that.” A few seconds passed as he stepped back.
Giving her that small relief of freedom, Orihime lowered her head and ran toward the door of the room. “I want to…” She turned to Grimmjow not making eye contact and whispered to herself, “Where are you Kurosaki-san?”
Quickly making his prey feel more fear, Grimmjow grabbed her wrist annoyed by her behavior towards him. “Do you honestly think I am going to let you go off on your own?”
“Let go!” She yelled as she tried to pull away from Grimmjow as she fought against his tight grip, but in her heart she knew it was hopeless. The beast in front of her trapped her. The young beauty was at his disposal. Tears began to run down her cheeks. The shackles were too tight, she truly was put in a cage to die.
Grimmjow unexpectedly let go of her. “If you go out there you realize there are other Espada who will kill you without any thought right? Or didn't that cross your mind damn tramp?”
Weeping in fear and trying to stand up to the Espada she shook her head. “I don't care I just want out of here.” She tried to control her sobbing in front of the panther, however, it was no use. “I just want to go home...”
Grimmjow only looked at her with a sneer. “Tch you are such a pain.” Suddenly he swung open his own door that leads to the hallway. “Come.”
Orihime followed him with head lowered.
“I will allow you to go back to your own room but I will escort you because I don't need that damn bastard on my back.” He growled keeping his back to her. “I don't need you being my problem anymore. Maybe you can be Ulquiorras.”
She only nodded. “I don't want to be anyone’s.” Her soft sad eyes skimmed the floor as she continued to follow Grimmjow. They slowly made their way to his back that proudly showed his 6 tattoo engraved on it. Still shaken from the incident and the taste of blood in her mouth from the inflicted wound on her face, she whimpered to Grimmjow. “Just let me go home.”
He said nothing to her, ignoring her statement. “Walk faster.”
The human woman did as she was told and followed the Espada to her chambers not knowing when Kurosaki would come to get her. Such a feeling within her was shattering her heart. The question was, how long would she last?
