Ulquiorra wasn't one to be rushed, much less pretend to be in a hurry. He was a stagnant man who avoided sudden change and dissonance. Therefore, today was like any other day. Stepping up to Kita's door, he was torn between leaving her in her room for the day or removing her and taking the chance of coming across the Zeshin. These thoughts clamored in his mind and caused him to hesitate before reaching for the door handle.
While in her room Kita felt her Masters presents on the other side of her door as she walked toward it. She was about to open the door when she rethought her actions. She then turned walking over to the couch, sat down and waited for him to come to her like her told her too.
Ulquiorra slipped the key into the lock and waited for the satisfying click of the tumblers falling into place. Having done so, he pushed the door open and greeted his fraccion with a cold, lifeless gaze. She was the same as he had left her.
Standing at Ulquiorra’s entrance Kita bowed courtly. “Master. Shall we begin our day?”
"Yes. We are to report to the throne room of Lord Aizen," Ulquiorra said flatly. Relaying orders was as routine as the ticking of a clock, but was it necessary, he wondered as he waited for Kita to exit the room.
Kita followed Ulquiorra from her room confused, closing the door behind her. “Why the throne room again today, Master? Are you going to talk to Aizen about what happen with Zeshin yesterday?” She paused and thought aloud. "If he wants him around here he should appoint him an arrancar to help him find his way around. We should not have to be bothered by him or the fact he is lost."
"Aizen's charity cases and issues are his own, but he must deal with them before I do it myself." Ulquiorra locked the room once more and turned to leave. A tingling sensation, akin to paranoia, settled into his shoulders. It was as if he were carrying the weight---- no. He could and would ignore the heavy feeling. It was nothing more than weakness playing tricks on his mind. He would not let a brainwashed 'boy' get the best of him. "Zeshin's 'father' will see to his well being, it is none of our concern. Other matters are more important right now." He took a step forward. Then another. And another until he was able to push the weaknesses to the back of his mind.
Zeshin and another arrancar turned the corner just in time to see Ulquiorra and Kita. "Oh there you are!" He turned to the arrancar that showed him the way and dismissed him. "I'm glad we finally found you."
Kita sighed in disbelief of their luck. Again. Two times in the same week. She was cursed and her curse was Toshiro was now haunting her in the flesh instead of soul form.
"Do not be so quick to dismiss your…guide." Ulquiorra subtly took a step to the right, blocking Kita from the zealous boy. He wondered what control Aizen was exercising over the territory of Hueco Mundo and how he chose to let Zeshin have full reign. "What is it you want?" He said.
"I just came for my sparing partner and temporary fraccion."
"If it is an award for your merits you are seeking, then come no closer. I have none for you." He let his hand brush against the sheath of his sword.
"I am seeking no reward. Like I said it is only temporary, I'll give her right back when she is no longer of use."
"You are capable of using another." This time, Ulquiorra rested a hand on his sword and made no attempt to veil a threat. "You, seem to be the one who is of no use." He began walking forward again, making sure to keep Kita no more than two steps behind him.
Kita followed, making sure not to fall behind.
"Look, I am not here to fight. I have already gotten this cleared by Lord Aizen. Just hand her over nicely, or do you wish to defy him?"
Ulquiorra brushed past Zeshin, tossing words carelessly over his shoulder. "I will do no such thing without the clearance of Lord Aizen himself. Your word is meaningless to me."
Kita walked past Zeshin keeping her eyes forward and staying up with Ulquiorra's pace. "Are we going to see Lord Aizen, Master?"
"Very well, I shall accompany you." He took step next to Kita. "We are going to train together."
Kita ignored Zeshin not even looking his way. She only waited for her Masters reply.
"You are not worthy to train with my fraccion," Ulquiorra hissed. He directed his next comment to Kita, "Yes. There are things to be done."
"That is not for you to decide." Zeshin told him.
"Neither is it for you." He snapped. "I will do what I please with Kita because she belongs to me. Step aside."
"Yet, the decision has already been made by Lord Aizen. You will see shortly."
"Indeed. I will see for myself."
