Sitting in her dark cell of a room Kita laid on her bed. Her arm draped over her eyes. The spiritual presser of Las Noches was all a flutter. Something was up and Kita was none the wiser of what it was. Though deep in the folds of her mind, she knew it was not good. Not when Aizen was behind it. What was to happen to her? What would Aizen do with her once the clones were all but gone? Would he allow her to live? And what of Toshiro? Will he do away with him as well? She sighed heavily. Of course he will. In time anyway.
They are all tools to him. Once their usefulness is up he would toss them aside. Either killing them or letting his enemy do it for him. In Kita's case it will be the Soul Society or the Gods that will do away with her. Her the Seraph that is an Arrancar. Or is she the Arrancar that is a Seraph?
Slowly the darkness of her existence was broken by the high-pitched, joyous whistling. Scratch that, Kita corrected herself with a small chuckle. Mischievous.
A moment later, Gin Ichimaru knocked on her door. "Knock, knock, is someone awake in this dreary corridor?" he called out in his sing-song voice.
Kita got up and walked over to the door. “I am here, but if you expect me to open the door. I can't. It is locked from the outside. I do hope you have a key, and please tell me you are here to let me out?” She stood just on the other side of the door talking to him.
"Of course I have a key," Gin replied with laughter in his voice, "it's quite boring to talk to someone through a door. Just give me a minute and I'll let some light in." He paused then smirked. "I have a treat if you don't try to run, too."
Kita blinked and though Gin did not see it the look on her face was a confused one. “Try to run? Where am I going to run? If my reiatsu changes places I know Ulquiorra will not be far behind me.”
Gin chuckled to himself. "I had to create some reason to give you a treat, that's all." A moment later, the key clicked into place. "Don't over think it, my dear." The door creaked open slowly to reveal the tall reaper, widely grinning. Gin placed a large lantern on the floor to further illuminate the room. "How are you doing in here?"
Kita squinted at the lighting change as she smiled at Gin. “I am doing as well as one can in the darkness and no company..." She looked at Gin with a bright smile. "So what brings you to the depths of Las Noches? I know it is not because you miss me. I can feel the changes in the reiatsu around here. So what's up and what am I needed for this time?”
Gin feigned surprise and hurt, placing one hand over his heart as he held back a box behind his back. "You don't even want to know what I brought you for your good behavior?" Then, he smirked. "You just want news on your master, don't you?"
Kita giggled softly. “I am sorry. What did you bring me Lord Gin?" She tried to look around behind his back to see what he was hiding as she spoke. "And yes I would like to know what my Master has been up to. Is he alright? Safe I hope and still alive. I have not felt his presents for sometime now.” She stood erect in front of him giving up when he would not let her see behind him.
"Close your eyes," Gin declared, "and you can eat your treat while I tell you some juicy news just for you."
Kita's stomach rumbled when she heard him say eat. She closed her eyes and waited for his surprise he brought. “I do hope it is good news.” She extended her hands in anticipation.
"I think you will like it," he stated, then placed the deluxe cinnamon roll into her hands.
Kita opened her eyes as they grew wide. "Oh this looks so delicious! Thank you Lord Gin.” She walked over to the bed and sat on the edge of it. Looking up to Gin she slightly frowned. “You can sit next to me or grab the chair in front of the desk. I am sorry but it's all I have in here.”
"No worries here and you're welcome," the silver haired reaper responded before taking a seat next to her. "Let's see, where to start... Oh I know." He grinned gently at her, blue eyes focusing on her. "You'll be glad to know that Juushiro doesn't believe you're a traitor anymore. Your clone spilled its heart out to him."
Kita looked to Gin shocked he would even share that bit of information with her. “Really? Well I am glad my clone did something right besides fooling everyone. Though I am sure Aizen is mad at me beyond belief. I told him I killed Toshiro.” She pinched off a piece off the roll and took a bite of it.
Gin shrugged. "He may, he may not be. He did only lock you up and leave you to me after your blatant disrespect that time." He tilted his head, still looking at her with his intense eyes. "Maybe he's giving you the benefit of a second chance, and as long as you stick with your truth, you may stay happy and less harmed, my dear."
He paused. "And see the real sun again in time."
She swallowed and smiled softly as she looked into his eyes. “I am good. I am where I should be and where I want to be. Ulquiorra is my Master and at his side is where I belong. I will serve Aizen as he sees fit and I will do what is needed and ask of me.” She smiled popping another bite into her mouth. Then tore off another piece.
Gin grinned to himself as she continued to eat with that smile, pleased with his work.
Aizen stepped around the corner and into the room, a smirk across his face. “I am glad to finally hear those words come from your mouth, Kita. I hope you meant them?”
Kita almost choked on the bite she took when she heard Aizen's voice. She stood quickly and bowed down to one knee lowering her head. “Lord Aizen.”
"And I meant every word." She told him.
Aizen’s smirk turned even more conniving as he stepped closer to Kita and Gin. He softly rested his hand to the top of Kita’s head looking to Gin. “I have to say I like her better this way. She might turn out to be a long term keeper.”
"She just might," Gin agreed simply with a light grin.
Aizen looked to Kita once more. "Stand up, Kita." He took his hand from her head and stepped back slightly.
Kita stood and looked to Aizen. She said nothing but stood there waiting for Aizen to speak to her or dismiss her.
Aizen reached into the sleeve of haori and slowly pulled something from it. It was not until the small amount of light in the room illuminated the jewels on it that Kita’s eyes lit up. He looked at her and asked. “You know what to do with this. Am I correct?”
Kita stepped back slightly still looking at it then raised her hand resting it to the object in Aizen's hand. “Yes I do.” She told him looking up and into his eyes.
“Good,” Aizen replied to Kita then glanced Gin's way.
Gin nodded to Aizen from the shadows.
