Today, I just found out from ANN that while the compilation film series of Space Battleship Yamato 2199 will still be starting in April, the edited version to feature it in format of a 26-episode T.V. series will not begin until soemtime next year or later, thogh the DVD/blu-ray volumes are expected to come out before the T.V. broadcast itself.

If you ask me, it probably makes sense to work on the film series cut first anyway as to allow the staff to not only take their time with perfecting their work before screenings, but also be able to use every scene they want in the films themselves before they can worry about what to cut out for timing with the T.V. cut since T.V. episodes have are bound to have further time limits than OVA episodes and films.
