I woke up and ate in the cafeteria for breakfast. I then went back to my room.
There was a knock on my first door. I got up and opened it.
"Leo, I told Dr. Bane what happened and it turns out you and Yong Ho are related." said Shaunki.
"What? How could I not know he was related to me for all this time? How could the ninja organization miss that?" I yelled in anger.
"I have no idea but do you have any idea what your link is to him?" asked Shaunki calmly.
"He called me nephew yesterday so he's my uncle." I replied admittedly
"I asked Dr. Bane to give you lessons in mind fighting. So um, you have to go." said Shaunki.
Without speaking I left to the 'mental teachings' hall. I looked at the room numbers.
There it was. 102. I opened the door. The room was a mess. There were papers everywhere. The floor, desks, filing cabinets, etc. I think it was the messiest place I've ever seen.
"Hello?" I hollered.
There were a few clinks and clanks before Monty Bane appeared form his lair.
"Oh hello you must be Leo! I'm Dr. Bane but you can call me Monty. So you want to protect your head huh? Well you need to go through a test so I know how to teach you." said Monty.
He then went rummaging through his desk throwing papers everywhere. He moved to his filing cabinet and messed that up too.
"Ah, here we are." Monty said. He gave me the paper, threw off some papers from a desk, and gave me a pencil.
I sat down and looked at the test. It told me how my brain worked and then questioned me about it. I finally finished and gave it to Dr. Bane. Monty analyzed it and then gave a lecture of how this would be hard work and yadda yadda.
"Okay I'm going to enter your mind. All you have to do is counter my thoughts and mentally push against me okay?"
Monty Bane closed his eyes and opened them. His eyes were red with black swirls. I clasped my head and closed my eyes. Everything was black when I opened them. I couldn't see myself but I could see Monty. A picture popped into my head.It pictured me and Kira. He knew. He could sift through my thoughts easily. I pushed against him. I had to get him out. I went through my memories and threw one out. It was my mom and dad. I felt that ground had been lost. Monty seemed to be closer. I threw out my parents' funeral. Monty was now farther away.
My brain seemed to be squeezing out of my head. I pushed against him. He gave me a picture of killing. It hit me and I let my guard down. Monty's crazed looking face was right in front of me. He probably had one inch before he head butted me. The darkness exploded. I was back in Monty's room.
"You let your guard down! you were doing alright though. But if I had to tell you one thing it would be keep your guard up. If it was strong enough you could tire out your attacker." said Monty.
We trained the rest of the day. I lost every time. I was pounded by lectures and pictures.
I didn't bother to eat anything. I just fell onto my bed and went to sleep. The next morning I trained with Monty. And the next morning. We had trained for almost two weeks. I went to Monty's room.
"Should we just start?" I asked.
"Sure." said Monty.
I was back into nothingness. Monty in the same place. I was given a picture of Yong Ho. That lit something because I pounded him with at least a dozen pictures and memories. I seemed to get closer to Monty. I gave him a picture of my team and his defenses broke. I was in his head. What I found wasn't really pleasant. There were two kids. One was Monty I was sure. The other I couldn't quiet place. He looked very much like me except for his hair. It was neat.
Monty kicked him in the stomach at least six times.
The boy had charged up a ball of fire. He struck Monty with it. The ball exploded. The boy crashed into the ground while Monty smashed through a window. The boy got up and walked away clutching his stomach. Then it hit me.
It was my father. The memories all shattered like glass and I was back in the room. Monty was hunched over a desk.
"Monty?" I asked.
Monty got up and turned around. "Get out!" He snarled.
I left the room and went to my group's common room. Shaunki was lounging on the couch.
"How did it go?" asked Shaunki.
"I passed." I replied.
