Sorry to anyone who checked last week and found no new post,I really do want to make this a weekly thing. As promised today is an anime feature. I decided to do Spiral. though I don't know if it counts because I think it might be semi well-known, even though no one I know online or in real life has heard of it.
Spiral is about a boy whose brother disappears and years later finds himself involved with "the blade children" who his brother had left to pursue. The boy, Ayumu, has self-esteem issues because of always being compared to his brother. The series is a mystery story and I think it would be rated teen.
There is also a manga,if you like reading it better(though I haven't gotten around to reading it yet. Any comments or critiques of this world will be read and greatly appreciated.
Two posts in a day?! Is it really so?! Yes, it is. I want to try and do this as a regular thing, two posts to start me off then try to post once a week. Just so your not too bored I’m going to do another feature.
This time it’s manga called Kurogane (or Kuro Gane). I know I said I’m not that good at summarizing things, but for most features I’ll try. It’s a shonen manga about a skilled young samurai named Jintetsu who is badly injured and brought back to life by a genius inventor as half human half machine. His voice couldn’t be restored so he was given a sword named Haganemaru that can talk for him.
The setting of the story is in Japan during the Edo period and Jintetsu basically continues to live is life as a drifter. I promise this manga is a lot more exciting than I make it sound. It has five volumes and is rated teen. For you out there who are tired of manga already I’m doing next weeks post about an anime.
P.S. my only rule right now about recomending anything is that it not be hentai or mainly a smut manga. Other than that any kind of recomendations are welcome.
Hello, I know that I've created this world awhile ago,but I finally started to use it. What better way to start off than to actualy feature somthing? The manga, Oyayubihime Infinity (takes awhile to get the first word right)is one of the best shojo mangas I've read, but no one I know has heard of it,which is why it's here if it was well known I wouldn't be talking abut it. I hapened upon it at a used book store and instantly fell in love with it.
I'm bad a summarizing things so I'll just quote the blurb of vol.1: "Meet Kanoko, a high school student, and manager of the up-and-coming young actress Maya. Humble, modest Kanoko's only dream is to see Maya hit the big-time.But the butterfly-shaped birthmark on her thumb might change her entire life...".
The manga-ka is Toru Fujieda, the volumes I own were published by CMX,and the series is also rated Teen just in case anyone cares about these little factoids. The series is also a fairly short one, it has only six volumes, so it's a fair size if you like for a series to be short, but still run for awhile.
