My Top 13 Animes Part 2 ^^
UGH. >_< Braces suck!!! Anyways, I wanted to see Salt today, but I had a stupid orthodontist appointment. Jeez, so bothersome. But, on with the next animes! 9-6 will be listed here! ^^
After an earthquake, Momomiya Ichigo and four others are transfused with the DNA of an animal, causing them to gain unearthly abilities and transform into Mew Mews. Two men tell these girls that they must save the world from Deep Blue and his followers, who want to take over the planet. The Mew Mews must defeat Chimera Animals and save the world from destruction.
My Opinion: Basically Tokyo Mew Mew is a more colorful, younger, less-epic version of Sailor Moon. It's really cute and funny, but the transformations aren't that great and the storyline is kinda cheap. It was an enjoyable anime that was fun to watch, but the main plot doesn't get interested until around episode 25.
8. K-On!
It's Yui Hirasawa's first year in high school, and she's eagerly searching for a club to join. At the same time, Ritsu Tainaka, a drummer, and her friend Mio Akiyama, a bass player, are desperately trying to save the school's light music club, which is about to be disbanded due to lack of members. They manage to recruit Tsumugi Kotobuki to play the keyboard, meaning they only need one more member to get the club running again. Yui joins, thinking it will be an easy experience for her to play the castanets, the only instrument she knows. However, the other members think their new addition is actually a guitar prodigy...
My Opinion: K-on is a really great anime if you're into animes about music. While the song lyrics and titles are not really serious, the music itself is catchy and upbeat. The characters are very cute and it's surprisingly funny. A perfect mix of comedy and music!
Due to poor grades, Tsukune Aono, an average high school student, has been unable to get accepted into any private academy of his choice. By exceptional accident, the only school to accept him turns out to be anything but ordinary; the school is attended by monsters disguised as humans. Fearing for his life, he attempts to escape only to meet Moka Akashiya, a beautiful girl who just happens to be a vampire. Despite this, Tsukune decides to stay at the academy, hiding his human nature from students and teachers. Tsukune also discovers that when the rosary around Moka's neck is removed, her true nature emerges.
My Opinion: The drawing of this anime is great, as well as the action. It takes a couple of episodes to get into (when all the characters appear), but it's a funny comedy/romance/fantasy. The relationship between the girls and Tsukune keeps you watching. Though the fanservice gets annoying, the second season is much more modest, and you get used to it. (eventually)
6. Angel Beats!
In a world after death, angels fight for their fate and their future. Yuri, the leader of the Shinda Sekai Sensen, rebels against the god who destined her to have an unreasonable life. On the otherhand, Kanade, the chairperson of the student council for the world after death, battles against the SSS members. SSS members utilize armed weaponry to battle it out against the angels harnessing supernatural powers.
My Opinion: At first, I was a bit skeptical as to how my friend could like this anime. After watching a couple episodes, I was hooked. The quality of drawing is great, and so it the action. The comedy was really good, not lame at all. And the band in the anime, Girls Dead Monster, has turned out to be my favorite source of music. I highly recommend this anime!
My Top 13 Animes ^^
LOL, okay, so 13's not the most even number (like 10, or 15 ^^;), but I've watched up to 13 animes and I think each and every one of them is great! xD So I'm going to list them all here with links and everything, just so you all can watch the great animes I do! I'll even put the summaries up for ya! Enjoy!
In the present day, a pandemic has spread across the world, one that involves dead people coming back to life. The anime follows a few students who have survived this pandemic, and the school nurse, as they fight to survive.
My Opinion: This didn't strike me as an anime I would watch at first, but after seeing the first episode I just couldn't stop. Though the fanservice is a bit overwhelming, the plot is alright (if a bit generic), and the action is intense. If you like zombie movies, I suggest this anime.
12. Toradora (TigerXDragon)
Ryuji Takasu is a high school student, along with his best friend Yūsaku Kitamura. One day he comes across Taiga Aisaka, who just so happens to be good friends with Minori Kushieda, who Ryuji has a crush on. Taiga has feelings for Yusaku, and when the Ryuji and Taiga find out they like each other's best friends, they decide to team up in order to get the object of their affection.
My Opinion: I was also hesitant about watching this anime, but the comedy is great and the plot is okay. The storyline is a bit thin, but the main character's antics keeps you wanting more.
11. Special A
Hikari Hanazono has always been second to Kei Takishima. Ever since she lost in a wrestling match when they were kids, she has vowed to defeat Kei in everything, no matter what it takes. This resolve causes her to join the same school as Kei, and she ends up in the SA, a class for the top 7 elite students. The anime follows Hikari and her attempts at defeating Kei, and a surprising love she also finds along the way.
My Opinion: This was the third anime I ever watched, and it was a really great one. Hikari's determination is refreshing, and Kei is the perfect guy every girl dreams of. Each episode is filled with a new adventure, and the end is really touching.
10. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
On the first day of high school a beautiful girl named Haruhi Suzumiya introduces herself as having "no interest in ordinary humans". She asks for any aliens, time travelers, sliders or espers to join her. Watching her weird behaviour is Kyon who sits in front of Haruhi and is the only person who talks to her. When Kyon comments about Haruhi's joining every club in school and then quitting he unwittingly gives Haruhi an idea to start her own after school club. Thereafter Kyon and several others find themselves dragged, literally, into the Save our world by Overloading it with fun Suzumiya Haruhi's Brigade (the S.O.S. Brigade for short).
My Opinion: A great and funny anime. If you like comedy with a touch of fantasy, this is the anime for you. The cosmic part of it was a little much for me (the Endless Eight was unbearable x_x), but it kept me laughing throughout. I definitely recommend this one.

Zombie Apocalypse ^^
Hey all! ^^ Yesterday's bike ride was horrible. x_x My back tire started getting flatter and flatter, and I had to walk my bike the rest of the way home. *cries* Today we went to the bike shop and had it fixed. Apparently it was flat because of a cut in the thingy where you pump the air into the tire. -_-' And there was a cut there because that thingy was slanted and the rims were cutting into it. Maybe I should have read the user manual...
I sent Aizen-san a PM about becoming a fraccion the other day. ^^ I think I'm going to be Nel's fraccion, unless she can't have fraccion or something... IDK why she wouldn't be able to, but ya never know! And I'm just gonna keep my name, so as not to get confused... (not just cause I couldn't think of any other names, jeesh ^^;)
Yesterday I played Draw My Thing on OMGpop and I actually did pretty well. *cough* Yeah, right. *cough* xD If ya'll ever wanna play a game, just message me or somethin'! Because eventually I'll get better and beat Yammy! ^^
After rewatching all the episodes of Kaichou wa Maid-sama, I watched the weirdest anime ever... Called Zombie Apocalypse. xD JK! It might as well have been called that, though. The anime was called High School of the Dead and it's about this city that gets infected with zombies... It was pretty intense, so I kept watching it, but the fanservice is a bit much. x_x Watch at your own risk, people!
I learned some minor chords today! ^^ Huzzah! A minor, E minor, and D minor! My guitar sounds deranged after I attempted tuning it, so hopefully the tuner that I bought comes in soon. I also bought a guitar stand. xD
