Yay, i'm finally back!! XD camping was fun but i've missed my beloved internet *huggles internet*
Anyway, for those who didn't read my earlier post. I've been camping with relatives for the past three days and it's been heaps of fun.
We were camping at this beautiful place, right next to the river, and just down the river a bit was the ocean.
The river was great for swimming, but the ocean was too rough.
The river was actually really shallow. As in i could walk across and the deepest it got was up to my neck XD.
There was a fire ban, so we couldn't have a campfire, but mum, brought the gas cooker so we could cook and (more importantly) roast marshmallows XD.
It was really nice and relaxing but there were a few bad things.
THe first was the dirt! There was sooo much black sand and dirt and it got EVERYWHERE! When i got home the first thing i did after unpacking was have a long, hot shower, with lots and lots of soap!! XD i'll never take showers for granted again XD.
The other was that my air matress got a hole in it and went flat during the first day. So for both nights i had to sleep on the floor with one of those flimsy foam mats. I can't wait to sleep in my nice (new) comfy bed tonight!
Oh, and the toilet was a drop toilet and it STUNK! Not to mention that it was really creepy XD
We tried fishing, but i gave up pretty early (i hate fishing) and nobody caught anything. However i was able to catch heaps of small shrimp at the waters edge, which was fun.
So overall i had a great time! But that said, i'm so glad we're home! XD XD
