2009 summary

I typed this last night.

9.58pm now. 2 hours and 2 minutes until 2010. Hopefully this will be less depressing than the last lot of stuff I wrote.

Hmm, *tries to think of something more cheerful* *fails* XD

I guess this year has had a great influence on me. More so that most of the previous years of my life. I just finished year 11 at school, the first year where I was in charge of everything I studied and the freedom was awesome (no more society and environment!!! XD)

I moved in with my mum and sis this year too and it’s been an amazing change to my previous life. I have so many more opportunities here and even though my freedom is more limited than it was at my dad’s, it’s a small price to pay. Here I have all my needs met, as well as a lot of my wants. And where I live now there is a lot more to do, e.g. air rifle and police rangers. I love living with my mum. And I guess I don’t mind living with my sis, she’s not all that bad XD.

I also turned 16, which has seamed to awaken me to society, as in I actually get letters and money from the government and I am now officially in charge of my own life. My parents no longer have full control over me and I can make my own decisions. Which is both good and bad. I have to pay rent now, and do a lot of new things by myself. Which is both fun and scary. It’s a major change from how I lived my life before.

Another thing that changed this year was my discovery of anime. It’s made my life so much more interesting and fun, and I now have another obsession to share with my friends. As well as making a whole heap of new friends via the otaku. It’s also helped to increase my drawing skills, because I can actually get the opinions of people other than my friends and family. As well as increase my writing skills via my post in all my different worlds. Overall it’s had a major impact on my life and has given me something to look forward to and enjoy.

I also got my L plates this year. So now I can drive which gives me an amazing sense of freedom (even though I always have to have someone else in the car with me). And it gives me a feeling of power to be in control of such a powerful machine.

Another thing I’ve gotten this year is stuff. When I lived with my dad all I had was my books and my clothes. Now I have stuff. Jewellery, toys, figurines and many other nice things, which I don’t really use for much, but add a sense of personality to my room, makes it looked lived in.

My book collection has also increased this year, though that happens every year XD. I now have heaps of new books and with the popularity many more of my fave genre (urban fantasy) are being written. I now have four book shelves full of books and have spent over $1000 all up. Which is money well spent in my opinion. I love reading.

I also got my laptop this year, which has allowed me to improve my typing and digital editing skills, as well as making editing my stories easier. I love having my own computer, even though it always seems to be playing up. And I like not having to ask mum’s permission to use it. It’s made my life so much easier.

I can’t think of any more events that have really influenced my life this year, but no doubt a lot of small things played part.

Right now I am relatively content and I’m ready to take whatever the new year brings. I don’t have any real regrets about the past year except that I would have liked to see my friends more often and to have studied harder and gotten better grades. Otherwise I’m happy to let go of this year and move on. Life will bring what it brings and I can’t wait to see what that is XD.

Well I’m gonna go do something now. Probably read or watch a movie. I might type something else later but other wise see you next year XD
*huggles everyone* I wish you all the best.

P.S. 10.31 now 1 hour and 29 minutes to go XD
